    • My first Robot Vaccum and I don’t regret my purchase
When I first decided to buy a robot vacuum I was thinking about going with Roomba since it’s always on sale. Instead of purchasing that, I decided to research all brands of robot vacuums before purchasing. After I researched, I decided that this particular model would serve my flooring needs better. If you are in the market for a robot vaccum, I would definitely recommend this model if you only have hardwood floors in your house with no more than 2 rugs (Don’t buy this if your house is primarily carpet because there are other Roborock models or brands that are best for carpet). Always research models that would be best for your home and lifestyle before making an expensive purchase like this. Also I saw complaints about how this doesn’t work for rugs and if you look on the bottom of the robot it says you need to remove the mop pad if you are going over a rug. I don’t remove it when going over rugs because I have a rug under my dining room table and the vacuum goes over it just fine. There’s also a shag rug in my daughters’ room and I was shocked that the robot was able to go over it. I thought the cliff sensor would have gone off but it surprised me. Also there’s another option in the settings where you can specify a “no go” zone so as not to go over your rug. The YouTube review that I watched before buying this particular robot was very accurate in saying it was designed for hardwood floors because the water tank is really big compared to the more expensive $1600 and $1300 models that clean themselves. The dust compartment is small but that’s ok because I don’t have pets and my girls don’t really eat that much but will leave a mess here and there. My only wish (I don’t know if Roborock has done this yet) is that they can provide a dock for this specific model that has a water refill tank, self clean and dust collector). I haven’t seen one on the market yet but if I can keep my current robot vacuum and upgrade to a dock that will have all of that and work with it, I will buy it. As for cleaning my floors, this robot does a really good job. Prior to me buying this vacuum, I was too busy working to survive to even keep my house clean. This does a really good job at doing that for a family of 4 with no pets. It also does a good job of keeping our kitchen tidy because I was getting tired of my baby eating leftover cheerios that I couldn’t catch in time off the floor. As for children, I like that there’s a “child lock” option so that my toddler and baby don’t mess with the robot. My kids are always messing with it. It’s been a year since I’ve had this robot and I didn’t want to write a review so early because I was expecting to be disappointed.     • Meets expectations, exceeds most.
In the short time I have ran the Roborock Q7+ max in my home it has been life changing. Entire family approved. Gets the job done. I have tried another robot vacuum in the past and it was more trouble than worth. This thing on the other hand is great. I did not expect much from mopping feature but it does well enough. It will not replace mop. It does what would be expected from the likes of a swiffer wet jet after a pass or 2. The vacuuming on the other hand does extremely well. The challenge is 2 young children and 2 very large dogs, one of which is a Labrador retriever and the pet hair is no longer floating around the house. Challenge accepted and met. What really set it apart is ability to climb transitions. I have an older home consisting of 2 add ons. Each of these have a step down between 3/4 and 1 inch. I have a rug at the 1 inch to assist. This vacuum has no issues. It will take it 1 wheel at a time to climb right up and continue working. Very smart, programed well. The last one I had, had difficulty with transitioning from carpet to tile. It was a joke and ended up being used as a toy for my youngest child. He liked the remote control feature and used it to clean his room until the novelty wore off. The Roborock Q7+ max on the other hand is as hassle free as it gets. My son now 7 tells the google speaker in his room to clean the floor and he gets excited when it comes through the door. It's been trouble getting him to keep his room clean but now he is excited about picking everything up prior to sending in his robot friend. Added bonus, Not 1 time after several cleaning cycles did it get stuck requiring my help. I feel very comfortable setting routine to take care of these tasks while my wife and I are at work. It's a good value if mopping isn't the priority. That said it does mop well enough to maintain if ran regularly from my observations. I enjoy a lot of smarthome devices and they are not always wife and kid approved but this vacuum has been very well received. ... show more
