Both the scrim count and material weight are the best indicators of the strength and durability for your pool cover. This is a heavy-duty pool cover designed to protect your pool from the winter elements. The Robelle Super Winter Pool Cover features an imperial blue topside and a black underside. Please order by your pool size, as the overlap goes beyond the pool size listed. This cover includes a four-foot overlap. If you have a very large top rail, please consider a larger pool size. This cover should be able to comfortably float on the pool water without excessive stress. This cover is not meant to be used as a debris cover during the swimming season. This winter pool cover is intended to be used during the off-season. This cover is meant for traditional above ground pools with a traditional top rail. Includes a winch and cable that should be used to secure your pool cover through the grommets around the perimeter of the pool cover. *****NOT MADE IN CHINA***** This cover is made in Vietnam, which based on my initial view is a big plus. I have seen a lot of crappy covers over the past 21 years, and so far I am very happy with this one. This cover is by far the most generous in size of any cover I have ever owned. Most of the time they barely fit over the edge of the top rail. This one provides substantial overhang. In years past I have had quality control issues with grommets being bent, missing, out of alignment, or improperly spaced. Everything with this one is perfect. A little note about warranties in general for those who hold them in high regard. Having had a pool for the past 21 years I have come to recognize these so called 10 or 15 year warranties is nothing more than a flat out lie. Once I had a cover split apart along the main center seam after an arduous week of use. That particular seller would not accept a picture, but instead wanted me to repackage their garbage and mail it to them. All of which would cost roughly as much as a new cover. As such, I have no expectation whatsoever that I'll be able to collect on a warranty let alone get more than 2 years, 3 if I'm really lucky, out of any cover. The winters here in central New York are just too brutal. So I base my review on my initial findings with the cover. If it fails to make the 2nd year I'll downgrade the review. If it makes it beyond the 3rd year I'll also note that as well. Also I don't bother with the center pillow float anymore either. The foolish things deflate halfway through the winter and never provide any benefit. ***************************************FINAL UPDATE DECEMBER 10, 2018******************************************************* After the 2nd winter I noticed some areas had thinned. This is the first time I have used this pool cover so I can not speak for it's durability over time, however compared to my previous pool cover it is approximately the same thickness of material. It arrived with no issues. All of the grommets were in perfect shape. It has a much larger overhang than my previous pool cover which is a feature that I love. I prefer to weight my cover down with water jugs because the last time I used the metal wire included with the cover the weight of the snow I get in Upstate NY put too much tension on the pool itself and broke two of the railings. If I get too much snow, at least the worst thing that can happen is that the jugs end up falling into the pool with no damage to the pool itself. That is one reason I like the extra overhang, because worst case scenario all that will happen is the sides of the cover will rise yet still cover the pool until spring. I have no complaints. I can't wait to see how it lasts over the winter. My last pool cover lasted 10 years so I guess I will see how it stacks up to the test of time. Of note, I never put a pillow in the middle. That only made the issue of snowfall even worse and I have owned above ground pools for over 20 years. Update 4/1/2023, the cover has lasted through 3 winters. This year it is entirely shredded and needs to be replaced. We DID have an unusually bad winter this year though. So much so that my deck even collapsed, so I will probably purchase again. For the price I think I got my money's worth. I don't think that any cover would withstand the winter we just had. ... show more

I bought this pool cover thinking if I had to replace it yearly, it’s not that expensive. My last pool cover was purchased from a pool service company and was expensive. It ripped the first year (after “professional” installation”). We made it work for a second year, knowing we were replacing our pool liner after that and not worrying much about the cover. Although the first cover had a warranty, it was much like the one someone else described for this cover - prorated. I decided it wasn’t worth spending an arm and a leg - if I have to buy a new one yearly, I’ll get this one if it can make it through a season. I was pleasantly surprised that this one held up so well. It did not tear anywhere like my last expensive one did within a month. We get a decent amount of wind that blows the cover and this one held up so well. It also handled our neighbors Labrador who jumped in not realizing there was a cover. It is not a safety cover (and thankfully I was there to help him out) but the cover did not rip or puncture. I would’ve been happy to get one year out of it. I purchased the Ultimate pool cover that had a 20 year warranty. It was supposedly a "premium" grade product that was supposed to be the highest rated cover. I figured anytime you buy a product like this it will likely not last a full 20 years, but was hoping to get 5-10 years of functionality out of the product. Unfortunately, my expectations were still too WAY high. After following the instructions that came with the cover, it seemed great. Putting it on and securing it was easy. However, in less than one winter, my cover had multiple holes and tears in the cover. And because the tears were not along a seam, I was informed that it is not covered with the warranty. I was told that this considered normal wear and tear. I understand small holes will happen on occasion, but I had multiple holes big enough to put a fist though. The one pictured is multiple feet long. If this is "normal wear and tear" I guess I do not understand the purpose of purchasing a cover with a 20 year warranty. There is no way it will last that long. In the end, I am extremely disappointed in the cover quality and the service when trying to file a warranty claim. If the quality of the product is low enough that it will not last one full winter, I cannot recommend that anyone should purchase this cover. Recommendation: Do Not Buy ... show more
