Okay so this is several times I've purchased this and I can definitely say that I'm very happy with this hair color. It is my favorite hair color and the same one that I keep returning to even if I try other hair color products. Leave my hair in great condition very soft and manageable and like I said the color comes out really good. So much so that I get compliments and I even get asked what the box number is lol. Will definitely repurchase as long as they keep it in stock. Im black...my hairs jet black...its hard for it to take color. But ive been using colorsilk over and over because 1) its cheap enough for me to keep buying 2) it has a less powerful smell than other color products (probally because of the amonia free thing but it still has a smell and tingling effect if it touches the scalp). Eventually its lightened my hair and made it easier to take color. And I love this color because even though it looks dark in regular light when you go out in the sun or are in a bright room you can defenetly see the color. People keep telling me they can tell Ive died my hair a red color so im happy! I want to try the bright black or violet black next. Im not sure how effective it is going to be for people going from a dark color all the way to a blonde. I think this works better than the regualr colorsilk for dark hair. ... show more

This was definately worth the low cost. I'd never used this version of Revlon so was a little hesitant. It turned out fine. It was thick so didn't run and looked warm in the bottle. The color was a warm shade that looked just like in the box for medium brown hair. My hair is now medium gold. The color is even. I did the grey roots first then the rest and left it on for a total of 30 minutes so it wouldn't get too dark. I used the after color conditioner which was not perfumey but had a nice fresh mango scent. I left it on for 3 minutes then rinsed it out. I am very pleased. The first time I bought this dye/color, it actually turned my hair blonde and I loved it. I kept using it for awhile and was very pleased with the results. I stopped using it for awhile to get back to my natural color and just last year I dyed it this color and no results like the first one. I dyed it 3 months later and still no results, I'm thinking maybe they changed the ingredients. Not sure I will be buying again. ... show more

I'm a brunette with much grey coming in. I've always used regular Colorsilk from a box store since I have very short hair and have to color often--I've tried more expensive colors and they don't last any longer than Revlon Colorsilk. I discovered this formula, especially for lightening darker hair. The honey blonde was PERFECT. After getting hooked on it, it is either not available or over twice the price it was--not going to pay that! So sadly, I guess I'll have to find another brand/color. :-( ... show more

At first, it's a little dark, but you can tell it's golden brown. Now a month later, it's still brown (tiny bit lighter) and looks totally natural (it's actually my real hair color lol). Outside and in certain lighting it looks really pretty because you can see the golden part. I really like it, but I don't know how much longer I will keep it this color. I feel a bit too plain & boring...I like navy blue, lavender, hot pink, etc hair better. I have shoulder length curly hair. I bought 2 boxes, but I ended up only needing one. The price is great too, so even better! *Random info: this is the first dye I've used that didn't stain anything. I was mad I forgot to put Vaseline on my face, but it came right off...no problem. A couple drops fell on the counter & my chest, but like my face, it just wiped right off!!! That's an A+ in my my book ... show more
