Although this power supply is sold as a Peleton power supply, it's a universal 12v power supply with a standard DC connector. I used it to power an LED strip light project which needed a stable 12v DC power supply. This supply worked well for this application. It comes with a compact power cable and does not get hot in use. I have a lot of low voltage control and lighting circuits in my house. All of that is powered by a group of high wattage LED drivers and power transformers located in a central DataComm closet. But when assembling, modifying, or working on various devices in my workshop I needed a small transformer to supply power for testing before I install them in their various locations. This power transformer is exactly what I needed for those devices requiring a 12 volt power source. Rated at 5 amps it is well able to supply the power necessary for individual devices while being tested. I also have the peace of mind provided by the over current, over heated, over voltage, short circuit, and lightning protections built into this unit. The high voltage power supply cord is of a standardized type usable on other devices. Between it and the low voltage cord to connect to whatever device I am working on they extend to an extra long length. Had to replace the power cord to my peloton bike because my dog chewed it.. ordered this cord and it does not work. Isn’t compatible with the bike.

I use this for its long cable. I power some led light hanging on the ceiling with it and I need some long cable to reach them. This adapter fits the bill and works without any issue.

A very strong steady voltage output. I use a lot of 12v and 5v power supplies for our outdoor holiday displays running everything from LED lights to animatronics and this 12v 5amp supply is a very strong one. Out of the box the voltage was changing between 12.44v and 12.43v, just changing back and forth. Well I had a loose connection on the positive lead on my multimeter, once that was tighten the output stayed at a steady 12.44v with no load. A true test of any power supply is how well it performs under load. I hooked up 100 SW2811 LED pixels and with the controller set to white (the highest load) the voltage held at a steady 12.38v. It has held this voltage for over 10 hours so this power supply is a strong recommendation for me. This is a replacement power supply for a Peloton exercise bike but works great for any application that needs 12v up to 5amps. ... show more

The wires seem like they are a little bigger for the 5a copacity on this power supply. I needed a 3a capacity so this was a little overkill but I figured it would never get hot and should theoretically last longer too. This works good for my application.

This is a generic 12v DC 5amp power supply. The brand name on the sticker is "Norward." That really doesn't matter, as you will find this exact same PSU sold under dozens of names. Of course, this power supply is not limited to use with a Peloton machine. I am using it to power some USB chargers, and it works fine for that. The case is relatively compact, with no ventilation. It does have a power indicator LED on it. The nine-foot power cord is ungrounded and has the type of connector often found on electric shavers. It works fine for what I am using it for. I would prefer it to have a grounded cord and some ventilation slots, though. I can't comment on reliability or longevity. Time will tell. Be sure to comparison shop on Amazon, though. This power supply doesn't do anything special that makes it better than PSUs selling for half its price. ... show more
