I have these built in small wall heaters that do nothing and cost a fortune so I bought this because I had a machine like this before. I forgot how well these work. I was able to leave on low level with a temperature that just kept Apt comfortable. No noise and perfect works. Wish I would have bought this 2 years ago.

I bought this high efficiency space heater for a friend and he loves it in his tiny home. I chose this over a standard coil heater for several reasons. Firstly oil furnaces are way safer than electric coil heaters in homes with pets. It’s safe enough to toss a wet coat over one and your coat will be dry in ten minutes. It is totally silent unlike coil space heaters that both waste power and sound like a cartoon space laser. Pets like to snuggle close and will not light up or scorch. The only small negative is it will take twice as long to heat a cold room as a standard coil heater or propane heater will. The lower cost of operation makes it worth the slower warm up time. My friend loves the remote where he can bump temperature up or down without having to get out of bed in the middle of the night. Recommended for safety quiet operation ease of use and less electric power to operate.

This is my first oil space heater, where my other space heaters have been the ceramic style. I'm impressed. The heater is completely silent, which is nice in my office. It heated a 12'x14' room from 69° to 75° in about an hour - on the highest setting. The oil stays hot for a while, so the room didn't cool off immediately after turning the heater off either. Although there are some metallic "pops" from the heater as the materials cool off and contract. It has a handle that doesn't get hot, so the heater can be moved around before it cools off. The remote works and has all the same functions that the actual unit does. It has a nice "Eco" setting which heats on high for 10 minutes, then on low for 30 minutes, then turns itself off. Probably nice for a bedroom. My only complaints are cosmetic. The myriad of warning stickers on the front are really distracting, and they aren't coming off easily. And the electrical cord comes from the front (I understand it can't come from the oil reservoir, but it's still ugly). The u-clamps to hold the casters are silver while every single other thing on the heater is black.

This unit works just fine, is easy to use, and puts out good heat. I use the 'eco' setting most often, but also will use the 'medium' setting, which warms the large room where I use this really well. When I first got it, I let it run in the garage for 3 days before bringing it in the house, which gave it ample time to burn off the toxic odor it emits when turned on for the first time.

Our gas furnace broke so we bought two of these heaters to heat the two toddler's rooms while we awaited repair. Unfortunately, the boys will be cold for a while longer. I choose these heaters because they offered variable wattage setting and a thermostat. I have no idea if the variable wattage setting worked, but man oh man did the thermostat not. We performed several experiments with the heater, always working with a small unheated closet as the experimental space. When the closet was 69 degrees, and we set the heater to 53, it turned on and heated the room to 70+ (we stopped the experiment when the heater heated above room temp). We also (several times) set it to 59-63 and found that it heated to high 70s-80s (at least- again- we stopped the experiment). In other words, if the thermostat feature works, it works +10-15 degrees at least. Since we had planned to use the heaters in sleeping toddler rooms, we need the thermostat feature; also we paid about twice as much as the non-thermostat versions for one with a thermostat. Sigh....

This thing is sleek and heats well, my only issue is that the thermostat setting is 10 degrees less than the actual room temperature. For example: If I want my room to be at 70 degrees, I have set the heater to 60 degrees. I purposely spent extra to have the visual controls, and although I have kind of figured out the offset, it is frustrating that this heats thermostat is so far off.

It really heats up a room better than any portable electric heater I have owned. I will purchase another one soon. I haven't been able to sleep in my bedroom during the winter for years because of the cold. The small portable electric heaters that blow the heat would never warm my large bedroom comfortably. But this heater keeps it toasty warm on the eco setting. I was finally able to sleep in my own bed instead of the couch for the whole winter and with just one light blanket. The controls are easy to use, the heater is easy to roll around to wherever you want it. I hope to buy more of these in the future to heat my whole house instead of using costly propane and the oven for heat.
