01/23/25 - Update - This heater works so well, I purchased 2 others to give to Family Members. The remote works so well and this heater heats up quickly. Also LOVE the oscillation and timer features. You can't go wrong with these awesome heaters! Enjoy and Stay Warm and Healthy! =0) ====== Received this great fan today on sale for under $70. It is awesome and comes with a remote that you have to install 2 AAA Batteries into. Nice, sturdy cardboard box housed this unit perfectly, it was shipped in the manufacturer's box and arrived 100% intact today. Easy to build the base and took only 5 - 8 minutes to screw in the 6 phillips head screws. This combo heater/fan is tall and when it oscillates it is whisper quiet. LOVE it! =0) The remote works perfectly once you provide and install the 2 AAA batteries into it. Everything that you can control on the remote, you can also control directly on the top of the unit (in case you ever misplace the remote and/or are closer to the unit at the time that you want to change a setting). The timer is programmable from 1hr up to 8hrs. The remote settings are useful and have large buttons so that they are easy to find and press. I'm very impressed with this portable heater/fan. The only thing I wish this unit had was ability to control the "power level" of the air output. I haven't read the manual yet, but I tried all of the remote buttons and you can control timer, heater or fan, oscillation and temperature, but I didn't notice any button/feature that allows you to adjust the air output. It became really cold here so I ordered this heater which arrived after the cold weather had passed. Now I have a cool, grey tower in my room just waiting for some cold weather to blast through the south again. I still tested the thing anyway. To start, it came in some brown, non-discreet rectangular packaging. Everything was included. The unit was well-protected and clearly new. Getting it out the box was easy. Assembling the heater was also no problem. To get the stand ready, connect the two halves together then use the two smaller screws to stick them together. Getting the stand attached to the main unit was also easy. My recommendation is to put the main unit on its side and then pull the power cord through the hole in the stand. Once done, flip the main unit upside-down, use one hand to stabilize it then use the other to attach the stand. You simply spin the stand until it clicks into place then screw it with the four longer screws. You route the cable through the two plastic clips and you're done. Assembly was problem-free and only took me a few minutes. Apparently, there's two different remotes, one with a screen and a more basic one. Mine has the basic remote which wasn't a big deal since I got it working with my universal remote and I never planned on using it anyway. The remote feels lightweight, cheap, and the buttons are noisy. The transmitter in the remote isn't great either. It requires you to be dead-center when aiming at the unit. It isn't a problem with the heater since it works no problem with my universal remote even while oscillating - it comes down to the remote. The buttons on the main unit are also wobbly and loud. It's a shame because everything else about the product is great. The base is sturdy. The heater itself is smooth and blends in well with it's grey body and black strip. Because the power cable comes from under the base, it is easy to hide. The heating element doesn't span the whole front of the unit. It's in the center and takes up about a third of the front which is the purpose of the included picture, but it still looks great either way. Time for controls and performance. The buttons on the remote mimic the buttons on the unit. You get a power button which powers the unit on and off, an oscillate button which makes the unit turn and toggles out of temperature control mode, a timer button which lets you control the auto off timer (there's no auto on), a + button and a - button which controls the temperature down to a single degree, and a high or low button which controls the intensity of the heat. The unit has a red LED light that's always on when plugged in. I don't think the light is that bright so it's not distracting to me, but I'm posting this as a warning. Whenever you make a change, it beeps. The beep isn't that loud to me, but I'm expecting some people to find it annoying. When the heater is operating normally, it shows the current temperature of the room. I just so happen to have a thermometer kicking around and the readout from the heater has been close so far, usually off by one degree or so. It isn't silent while operating. There's a low hum that's barely noticeable when it's on low, but this increases a bit when it's on high. I don't find it distracting and consider the noise to be acceptable. The oscillate function has no added noise for me. I only get noise when it stops since you can hear the heater lock into place. For performance, the thing is stellar. It outputs serious heat on low and might turn a small room or a bedroom (I have it in the master bedroom) into a sauna on high. Temperature control works as expected with the heater shutting off once it hits whatever temp you set it to and turning itself on once going one degree below that temperature. It's a very impressive heater except for one problem. Automatic temperature control only works on the High setting. When you switch it to Low, it gets disabled. Since the heater on Low is more than enough for my room, I'd much rather use it on that intensity with automatic temperature control. This is a baffling design decision to me and almost docked a star for it, almost. Outside of that or if you don't find that a big deal, I highly-recommend it. ... show more

This is a very nice heater. It is smaller than I expected, but it heats better than I expected even for a larger heater. It shuts off when it reaches the set temp. I think it is well worth the money. The heater has enough air flow to heat what I consider a large room. I would recommend this heater to anyone who needs a space heater. I think a ceramic heater is safer than those with a radiant element that glows red, whatever those are called. ... show more

I bought this heater almost one year ago. It looks just as pictured. I picked this one because my sister has it and loves it. I likes the auscillating feature, the timer and the remote control so I decided to order one also. This thing is small but it cranks out a nice amount of heat and can warm a room, particularly if you close the door (zone heating). However there are some features I never use and likely can't because the remote control never worked on the one I received. The original remote I received would not connect to the heater after many tries ans reading troublr shooti g. I observed that it looked like it belonged to a much older model. As I mentioned my sister has the same one so I already know what it should look like. The one received was much larger and looked old. When I called service I was informed that it would have taken a month to receive a replacement part thru service so I paid out of pocket to have a replacement shipped directly from the manufacturer and received it in less than a week.... but the new one didn't would not connect either. Maybe the issue was the actual heater unit but I didn't spend more energy on figuring it out. Just something to keep in mind if you consider this one. ... show more
