Our HVAV unit (Central Heat & Air Pump Unit) died on us a couple of years ago. It was already like 40 years old and was outdated the repair guy said the compressor was dead and to replace the unit would cost around $20K. Then we had to rely on the backup old style heating coils use on the inside part of the unit which caused our power bill to go from $220/month to $600 during the winter months. I have used so many different space heaters only to be disappointed with their performance but I couldn't continue to pay these high power bills so I finally decided to try this model. I ordered it at like 10pm and got it the next morning at 7am. Got to give Amazon credit for a super fast delivery but you want to know about the heater. I have been closed off in my bedroom trying to stay warm so I immed. opened the box and had it plugged in and running withing 5 minutes. I haven't even had to use the max heat setting so I used the high heat setting (which is the only heat setting that will allow the automatic off and on thermostat function to work) and I set it on 75 degrees and my bedroom was roasting hot within 1 minute. I had to turn it down to 70 and it is almost down to 30 degrees outside so I was already freezing cold. Now it rarely ever has to even turn on and then only for about 90 seconds. This would probably heat a large living room with no problem and for those of you wondering about the cost of running a space heater, I have to agree with the guy in another review I read. ALL space heaters are gong to use around 1,500 watts when running, I have used many and it is true so just get the model that best suits you but this one is by far the best one I have ever owned in my entire life. I cannot tell you how much it will lower my power bill since I only got 1 for the bedroom but with another to heat the living room/kitchen area. I think my power bill will back down to around $320 during the cold months but I will update this review after I get my power bill and see the drop in price. Bear in mind that I really need to get 1 more for the open living room/kitchen area before I can see a drastic drop in price as the main heat is still kicking on but with 1 more of these heaters I think it will cut that power bill down to what I can afford to pay. I have been sitting here for about an hour now and it is still toasty in my bedroom and the heater hasn't even needed to turn back on yet. If you really needed to save money I believe you could use 2 of these and set them on 65 degrees and be able to get through the cold winter months without those super high power bills no matter what your heating situation problem is. I will definitely be ordering a second one to keep my home heating element from running. I will update this post with details on how much I save on my power bill but this heater will definitely heat a large room. It is actually more than I need for a bedroom only. You will need to buy 2, 1.5v AAA batteries if you want to use the remote. Batteries not included but not a big deal for me. I keep a drawer full of rechargeable batteries but I don't even see the need to use the remote for myself but it does have one if that is something you like.

Bought this heater in 2021 because my office AC runs very cold with no adjustment. I have ran this heater 5 days a week for almost 12 hours a day for 5 years with no issues. Great product and will buy again if it ever stops working.

UPDATE: After using this heater for a few days in my work office, I really like it but I have to say that not having at least one setting between 70 and 75 is an issue for me. It may not be for other people but I'm still a little chilly when it's set to 70, but at 75 it's just too much heat for the size of my office unless I leave my door open. Just FYI in case this might be an issue for you too. You might want to find a heater with more incremental temperature settings. It works well though, and heats quickly. I have no other complaints. ****************************************************************************** I had a small ceramic heater for my work office. I didn't like having to press a button over and over to raise the temp all the way up to 86 before it would finally start over at a lower temp. If I accidentally passed the temp I wanted, I had to loop around again. So I ordered this Lasko and it has a remote which means I don't have to get up from my desk to adjust it. I'm not being lazy but when I'm working, it's an interruption so the remote is essential. I was disappointed though that Lasko doesn't include at least some cheapo AAA batteries with it. I wanted to try the remote immediately but didn't have any batteries. Set some out at home last night to bring and but forget them this morning. So here I am still having to pop up and turn the heater on/off or adjust the temperature. But...I'll bring batteries next week and all will be well. If you buy this and the remote matters, have your own AAA batteries ready. Takes two. The heat output is fast, warms up immediately. There are limited temperatures to choose from (60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85 and Max) but so far it seems to be fine. I wouldn't want hotter temps but would be nice to have a bit more range between 70 and 75 where I might want a little warmer than 70 but 75 is too much). That's just my personal preference. This heater would probably do a nice job in a large bedroom or living room because it can get pretty hot. My office is roughly 12'x14' and I close the door against noise in the outer office, so this heater can get the room a bit hot for me on 75 but at 70 I'm sometimes still a little cool because it shuts off when the temp is reached. That's where 72 would be useful. It does have a Low and High setting and I'm not sure how those work relative to the individual Temps yet, need to read the instructions. It also oscillates (turns left to right) as an option, and there is a Timer. The Time works well, I set it to one hour yesterday because it arrived in the afternoon just about an hour before I leave and I didn't want to accidentally leave it running. It shut off when it should. Overall this seems to be a really nice heater, and my issues with the temperature settings are just my observations, not complaints. One thing I'm not sure about yet (will read the instructions at home over the weekend) is the red light which is on as soon as I plug it in even though I have not pressed the Power button yet. Since it's on all the time I didn't feel safe leaving it plugged in while I was gone so that might be a bit of a pain, remembering to unplug it each day before I leave, then plugging it in when I arrive in the morning. I left my other one always plugged in to a surge protector but it had an OFF button so I thought it was safe that way. In any case, I like this heater a lot so far and once I remember my batteries for the remote, I'm sure I'll really like it!

Bought this heater to use just in case the power went out. Turned it on as soon as I got it and tested the 2hr timer on max. This heated up the family room very nicely to the point that room was for once warmer than the bedrooms (front door is in the family room along with a large bay window. Gets colder on winter months) Quiet enough that my dogs like sleeping near it. The perfect size as well as you can see compared to my kitchen table. Even with it being that close to the table, the leg is not warm. It is very easy to use and the timer does make it so it turns off just in case you fall asleep with it on. Love the remote control too so I dont need to leave my comfort spot to turn it off. It makes any room cozy. I am actually buying a 2nd one for the basement with how great it works.

I bought this as a gift for my sister as she lives in an older home that is always cold in the winter time. She absolutely loved it. I love the fact that she could take it easily from the living room to her bedroom and stay warm at all times. I would highly recommend this Lasko heater. The fans are wonderful as well. Both products are quiet and come with a remote, which is super convenient. Where were these when I was a kid and freezing in my bedroom at night because Dad wouldn’t crank up the thermostat!

I bought two of these beauties when they were on sale. My old, drafty house really needs some help in the colder months, and the old heaters I was using were kaput. I was very impressed with the features these ceramic heaters have, as compared with my old ones. First of all, no red-hot coils glowing through the front grids. That always made me nervous, particularly with my heat-loving cats plopping themselves right in front of the heaters. What if their tails swished past the grids and the hair made contact with those coils? Second, these heaters have a wonderful oscillating feature, so even if you're fairly close (say, three feet away), you're not getting a steady blast of hot air. It also helps distribute the heat to the rest of the area. It is a space heater, and not intended to heat the entire room. If you're working in a small office, though, it would definitely warm up the whole room. Having worked in chilly offices in my time, I really wish I'd had this heater! Third, you have a choice of preset temperatures from 60 to 85 degrees, plus a MAX setting that lets you choose either high or low heat (the presets only work on the HIGH setting). I find that the MAX setting on low is perfect to keep me cozy but not overly warm at a distance of about three feet. Fourth, it can be programmed to shut off at one to seven hours, nice if you want to warm up a bedroom before sleep but don't want it running all night. Fifth, it's whisper-quiet on low or high. That was one reason I wanted to replace my old heaters, they made an annoying racket when they cycled on and off. And, there was no way to gauge the temperature you wanted, only a knob you could turn to decrease or increase the heat output. Sixth, it has a remote control! This is so useful it might be the most attractive sale point of all. You can control every feature of the heater from the comfort of your bed or sofa. The heater is completely safe, not just shutting off automatically if it tips over, but the outer casing remains completely cool. The front grid does get hot (well, duh!) but the rest of the heater stays safely cool around kids or pets, or even you if you're sometimes as clumsy as I am. To sum up, I can't recommend this heater enough. If you can snag them on sale, get at least two or three of them. Never hurts to have a spare.
