I live in an old apartment and the heater is not very efficient. I rarely run the heater, but there are times this winter where I needed to warm up my apartment. However, this year the central heating seemed to continuously blow cool or lukewarm air. I had my apartment heater checked out and it seemed to work, but then it was running all night and not really making a difference in the temperature. I have cats and was hesitant on getting a portable heater, simply because of safety. I wanted something that was safe and easy to use, energy efficient, well constructed, and actually heat up my unit. Well, after seeing so many great reviews, I decided on this one and absolutely LOVE it!! So far it has worked exactly as it should and my place gets nice and warm. We are all happy campers. For the size it is tiny but mighty and I can see how easy it would be to take this anywhere I may be staying or travelling to. It is lightweight and great! I have 5 of these, one stopped working after 2 months. The others I use to heat up rooms I'm working in, and they really do the job. My office is 13 by 13 feet and it gets up to 83 degrees F in about 15 minutes. We use one in the bedroom from time to time, it's 15 by 13 feet and it heats it up enough that you can really feel the difference. The safety cutoffs work good and whenever the unit it moved - it cuts off. I use one in the garage placed about 6 feet away, pointed to where I'm sitting, and I can feel the heat hitting me perfectly. I've used many other heaters in the past and these are the best ones so far. They are not too noisy, but you do hear them. I would recommend these to anyone who needs a room heater. ... show more

I was pleasantly surprised at how well this worked. But, I took off 3 stars because it's nearly impossible to accurately control the temperature. With other dial type thermostats on space heaters that I've owned, I would set it for the maximum temperature and when the room felt warm enough, I would turn the dial down until the heater shut off. Then the thermostat would maintain that temperature. This one doesn't work that way. This one doesn't maintain the temperature. It lets the room cool down quite a bit before it turns back on. I've bought 3 of these. One, I used with an external thermostat in a small outdoor greenhouse. I taped the safety switch so it was always on, and used a zip tie to guarantee that it remained standing. I like that the housing didn't get warm, except in the front. I wasn't thrilled that the built-in fan directed the heat downward instead of straight out. All 3 of these that I bought do this. It kept my small greenhouse between 45F and 55F while the outside temperature dipped to -8F this winter. The built-in fan isn't very powerful so I paired this with another fan to help circulate the air. ... show more

I love this tiny heater it runs me out of the room! I start to sweat it gets so warm. Great product for the money…. I’ve tried bigger stove like heaters that don’t work as well. This heater was smaller than I thought and a bit loud. I was hoping that it would be quieter than my old one, but it isn't, ugh, but I love the heat it puts out. I'm not sure about the safety features as I've not had any issues with it, but it's sturdy enough and I like the 30sec timer for shutting it off manually. I only use it to take the chill out of the bathroom in the mornings and when I shower at night, tho I have left it on for longer and it takes the chill out of the bedroom even with it's small size. ... show more

Dexter loves to complain- loudly, for hours at a time. He has no complaints about this little space heater, which sits by his food, water, and cozy bed cubby in our garage. (We wish he could be inside the main house, but the young whippersnappers in there steal his food and stress him out, so while we try this geezer on every anxiety medication ever to see if one sticks, he has a pretty sweet bachelor pad in the garage). Like any other excentric old man, Dexter has opinions he's going to tell you, whether you care or not. He loves that he can't knock this little heater over easily- but if he were to, that it would automatically shut off and keep his home safe. He loves that it can be set at super warm temps for cold snowy nights. He likes that its small, and doesn't take up his whole kitchen. And he really likes that its simple, and doesnt have any of that fancy technology some new devices have- its old person friendly. Best of all, is the price! Plenty of change left to buy snacks with, and he didn't even need a seniors discount! 💞 (Thank you, we love it, he loves it, and we've told several friends about it 😂) ... show more
