I love this DR infrared heater that I purchased with temperatures to 86°. And heat up my master bedroom to the point that I have to turn it off or turn down to like 70° and or turn on a fan. It also has the remote control that works greatly to set from economy to low to high and also a time feature of up to eight hours. The issue is that I’m returning it because it’s stated that it was Wi-Fi connectability to cell phone, which does not have that function which I may need purchased for so I can heat up the bedroom in this January and February and I will before I enter the room. Therefore, I am returning. Please make a note that is only for 30 days, but since the product was indeed advertise as having Wi-Fi compatibility, I was able to get my phone return in 5 to 7 days through speaking with a liveAmazon Customer Service person not on the chat. If you’re not interested in having Wi-Fi connection, then this is a great and nice size wall mounted heater. I just put it against the wall on a table and I’m glad I did wall mount. This little heater is AMAZING! It was placed in our rental apartment, and it keeps it warm despite the very cold temperatures outside without breaking the bank on heating costs. Small footprint and heats my bathroom quickly. Yes, my bathroom. I have little to no condensation or risk of water damage due to where I place it and my tub/shower area does not steam up. This is a happy surprise considering that I purchased as a warehouse deal. Came in original packaging and unused. The way it works takes a little getting used to. If it doesn't go on, turn up the temperature. If you need an extension be sure to use heavy commercial grade. So far, so good. Will update if needed. ... show more

    • I trust this thing much more than any other heating device I've owned.
PROS - Quality heat, turns off in a reasonable timeframe - Turns off quickly when tipped over. - Filter is easy to clean. - The combination of both warm light and blowing air is really hard to live without once you have it. Other heaters don't get used unless needed. CONS - If you throw a blanket over the device, it WILL NOT NOTICE. So while it's getting really, really hot and potentially catching on fire, there's no sensor built into the device that catches on to the fact that you're in real trouble. I would recommend putting this inside some kind of covered container or mounting this to the wall in a high place to avoid any chance of an issue. OTHER - Wish you could point the output a little up or down. Right now it's just straight forward. - Would like to be able to control the fan speed even if that meant turning down the heat. Sometimes it's a little too strong. - Ability to manually enable the "low light mode" would be ideal. Sometimes the light sensor catches light other than the overhead and doesn't engage. Also if the light could be dimmer that would also be great. Maybe a 4th heat setting? ... show more

    • The Dr. Heater DR-908W puts out more heat on low than a lot of others on high!
I have used Dr. Heater products with good results in the past and this one is no different. I was looking for a wifi space heater that had good output and did not break the bank. The Dr. Heater units have both a quartz bulb and a ptc element for heat. Not sure if anyone has measured the exit air temperature but this one far exceeds any others that I have purchased. Most will read somewhere between 175 and 300 F. The DR-908W will overload my heat gun if pointed in the right area, generally reading between 450 and 600+ F. Keep in mind, this is not air temperature in front of the unit, this is pointed into the air exit from 6" away which is where my heat gun is specified to read the most accurate. I cannot keep my hand within 12" of the outlet for very long without having to move it further away. It seems as though this would dry the heated area out but it does not. I only use any electric space heater in a closed off area, as much as possible anyway, and only when I am present, so my electricity cost is negligible. Mine is a bit noisier than others, not sure if it's the fan or some vibration in the unit. I may try another since it's still within the return period, but it's certainly not objectionable. I really like the fact that it can be either wall mounted or used portably with the included feet. Overall, I am very pleased and am looking forward to some long term use. It worked great for about 2 months. I bought it in October and in January it no longers functions safely. Ive cleaned the vent out, but the cord gets hot and it smells like it's going to catch on fire. My return window closed in November.

Handy little electric heater that mounts on the wall. Not overly loud. Has an eco mode which automatically converts from 1500 Watts to 1000 as needed. Has a dark mode that adjusts operation when it senses light to save energy. I like the WiFi app so I can turn it off if I want to from anywhere I have service on my phone. The app also works with my switch I use for my water heater which is nice. I use this heater to help heat my house using my solar and it seems to work well. It's very light and I can't attest to it's durability as I haven't been using it long. At this point it fits my needs and I would purchase it again. ... show more
