This is great, it works- no cats in my room now. My problem was needing it at the top of the staircase, meaning I have to bend down on the first stair to zip and unzip. There is also a slight tripping hazard. I would worry about older folks not lifting their feet up enough. The media could not be loaded. We bought this for our pair of sugar gliders to help keep them in the walk-in closet area at night when we are asleep. It gives them the freedom of having more space to run around in than just a cage and we can be confident that they can't get out and our cat cannot get in. Overall, it's a really great product. The tiny mesh holes are ideal for the glider's so they can still grab onto it and climb it without getting stuck or without having enough room to get through. Putting it up was a breeze. The only issue I have with it is the tax that come with it are not of the highest quality and they tend to fall out pretty easily. I would highly recommend investing in some better tax than the ones they provide. I also wouldn't recommend using the velcro because it tends to rip paint off the walls. If you can find better tax or better velcro, this is 100% a must-have for sugar glider parents who need to secure their babies safely. ... show more

I am currently ordering our fourth of these. If you're using these just temporarily to introduce a new cat, or protect a room for a few days, they do the trick. They're really easy to use and set up, and convenient to get through. Cats will climb it, and they will eventually get the adhesive off, but, it will take them at least a week (at least it did on our door frames, ymmv). But, for the purpose of introducing a new cat, I can't stress how convenient it was. We'd set one up, put food on each side at meal times, and use a laser pointer to play with both cats at the same time (pointing it in one room for a while, then moving it to the other, etc, so the cat's were "playing" together, while not able to actually attack each other. While every cat is different, we had tried solid doors and glass doors before, and it took a long time to get the cats to get along. With these, one pair of cats took just under two weeks, and two others were friends within 3 days. I wouldn't recommend it as a permanent barrier, or as something you used for long unattended, but, for our purposes, we love them. ... show more

it sends enough of a message and provides enough of a deterrent that my cats haven't tried to push through. would def not restrain a panicked cat. fortunately i don't panic my cats except when i run the vacuum. Some of my cats are very feral but easy going and generally antidrama so i'm lucky. While the design generally works, my old apartment's latex paint invalidated the sticky strip and the velcro. while trying to unvelcro the attachment, the paint pulled off the wall. so yah, the sticky strips and the velcro def hold. i reinforced the parts where the paint peeled away with some screws. wish i had some metal trim to reinforce this more given the cheap paint on my door frame. they do give enough stick tape that if this happens to you you can apply a new piece all around which is nice. I'd also like another version of this with metal trim i could screw it down with and a higher grade material for outdoor use. would make a great screen door to keep the bugs out on a nice day with some better materials. ... show more

I have 2 older cats and just got 2 new kittens and wanted to give them a soft introduction. This product is actually sticking to walls, and doing exactly what I hoped it would do. (Admittedly I was sure it would just fall down) The only issue was the bottom doesn't really work for carpet. I ended up putting the bottom adhesive to a 2"×4" and that is working to keep the kittens in. I am a little worried about the zipper as it is starting to fray a little. All of the doors in my house are screen doors. Think of the screen door in the Wizard of Oz. I like them because with the holes there is constant airflow. The air conditioning and the heat flow throughout the house. It's really nice. If you want privacy every door has a curtain attached, just drop it down! I have a regular door on my bathroom. Air does NOT circulate. Towels weren't air drying like before and in my house, the bathroom is the last room on the air/heating grid so it's never really cool in the summer or hot in the winter. Oh! I forgot! I don't like my cats in the bathroom so this door is ALWAYS closed. Now with this cat door I can keep my bathroom door open. This zips all the way around and to date, they haven't clawed their way through the screen - My bathroom is so much nicer now. ... show more

I bought this to keep my kittens inside my room until they're big enough to be around the other cats. It worked wonderfully at first but it's very easily ripped with claws. I am going to buy another one though because as I said, it worked great at first!

This is my second time buying the screen. It blocks off our laundry room for eating where 2 cats don't get along. First one lasted months. The newest order had better velcro and tacks then my last order. We damaged it going in/out without fully unzipping. Cats climbed it with no damage.
