As someone who cooks a lot and really prides themselves in their cooking ability -- and if I'm being totally honest, just someone who likes to indulge a bit in the finer things -- I'm pretty picky where cookware is involved. I tend to be a brand and line loyalist and rarely deviate, but these pans seemed like such a good deal and game in sizes I often find I need MULTIPLES OF while cooking, I figured: why not? Generally I use stainless steel, multi-ply pans that are oven safe for high temps, so the fact that these could go from stove to oven was an immediate bonus. The fact that they're NOT coated in teflon? Another bonus. Out of the box, I was surprised by how heavy duty they seemed. They look high quality and are in lines with what I expect from single pans that are priced the same if not HIGHER than the three offered here. I wish they came with lids, but honestly, they're such a deal that I understand why they're not included. I have not looked into it yet, but if Redchef doesn't already sell lids to fit these pans separately I sincerely hope that they consider it. These pans are sleek and minimal, blending in nice with the rest of my cookware. I'm honestly really impressed. But how do they perform? That's the important question! I had the chance to cook with these pans tonight and while I highly caution and recommend that you preheat your pan to seal the pores and assist with the "nonstick" like any other stainless steel pan, I find them to be a joy to cook with. Nothing stuck, nothing burned to the bottom of the pan, and my meat moved effortlessly across the pan. It IS my first time using these, yes, and I will definitely update my review over time, but if you're looking for a good, affordable set of pans these definitely have my stamp of approval. They'd make an excellent gift for someone moving into their first apartment or just to further supplement the kitchen of an avid cook. What a find! Will definitely look out for future offerings from Redchef.

This set of Redchef Hybrid Nonstick Frying Pans are amazing quality! What originally caught my eye about this set is they are free from PTFE, PFAS, PFOA, and has a ceramic coating instead of teflon, which is harmful to us once it starts chipping and getting into our food. I just recently found out how bad most nonstick cook wear can be for not only us humans, but as well as our pets when cooking with them. Just that alone had me. I also like that these can be placed in the oven for baking and do not have any kind of handle that will melt like most of my other cook wear has. Ever since receiving these I have not used any of my other pans while cooking. They heat evenly, and are truly non stick. How I really put these to the test is I make eggs almost daily, and no matter what I do, how low of heat I use, if I use a spray or oil in the pan, my eggs always stick. Using these, I had none of that. No more letting pans soak and scrubbing away. I am seriously impressed with these! I do wish they came with lids, but it’s not a deal breaker. I have a set of different sized silicone flat lids, that fit and I use with the smaller 2, just don’t have one big enough for the 12 inch pan at the moment. But other than that this set is a big win. These are definitely worth it, not only for the time saved scrubbing but the fact that these are not putting harmful chemicals in the air and in our foods. And these are such good quality that they will last for years to come. I am looking into investing into a few other pieces such as pots, to be able to throw all my old harmful cookware in the dumpster. RedChef fan here…highly recommend!

This is a 2 pan set including 8" and 10" nonstick fry pans from Redchef. They arrived in nice factory packaging that would be suitable for gifting. These are really beautiful looking pans. The outside is stainless steel, and the cooking surface is a really striking beige ceramic with a honeycomb pattern that is meant to make the ceramic coating more durable. These are also very well built pans, having a good weight to them and nice balance. I read the instructions, which are somewhat contradictory, but more on that later. Following the instructions, I put the smaller pan on one of my gas burners set to medium heat, and to test the nonstick I fried an egg without any fat whatsoever. The pan passed with flying colors. The egg slid around the pan nicely when it was cooked. Incidentally, I would not recommend cooking in these pans without oil, as noted in the manual they are not intended for that. I only did it the one time to see just how nonstick the surface is. Since then I've used these pans to saute vegetables, to fry hamburgers, and to cook ground meat for spaghetti sauce. I feel like not being able to heat these past medium is a hindrance to the cooking process in that things don't brown as well as I'd like. It also seems to me that these don't heat as evenly as described. While they are nonstick, it's not one of those things like you sometimes see on TV cookware ads, where you just take a paper towel to wipe it out. The manual mentions this nonstick coating cleans easily with a sponge and water, and it does, although I also use a little soap. So the thing about the instructions is that they contradict themselves and the product listing. It says the pans are oven safe to a whopping 842 F, which seems unlikely at best. But if they are oven safe that high, why can't they be heated above medium on the stovetop? Also, the manual mostly says low or medium, but in one place says medium or high. The product listing says metal utensils are okay; the manual says no. I don't use metal utensils anyway, so that part is fine. But I'd like to be able to heat these on high, or at least medium high, without having to worry about damaging them. All in all they are solid, attracting pans with decent performance, but not great performance.
