He's a bit of a curmudgeon is the husband. A bit vintage and knows what he likes and doesn't. He said this was just exactly what he wanted to put the tent on to take the grandkids to our pond camping. They went and had a nice time. He was very pleased with the ground cloth. I am no expert on such things as my idea of roughing it is a very long extension cord, but the cloth felt and seemed to me to be of nice quality fabric and construction (I am a quilter/sewer). So, I rated it 5 stars for being true to the description given and for the reasonable price asked. Also, 5 stars for him being satisfied and me not hearing any complaining!

I just returned from a genuine Vision Quest in the foothills of Mt. Rainier in the Pacific Northwest where I had limited gear (no tent, no fire, no food, no other people) for a day and a half and it rained CONSTANTLY. I found a low branch and tossed this baby over it, and used a regular ol' tarp as the "floor" of my makeshift tent, and spent a fair amount of time being amazed at how perfectly this tarp works. It really is waterproof, and I'm the only quester in this year's program who stayed completely dry and cozy despite the non-stop downpour. This thing is worth its weight in gold and I credit this tarp with why I wasn't miserable the entire time. Two big thumbs way up!!

Really nice, it’s a little big as it totally covers the Eglu pen, and partially covers the attached 5’ long Kong dog cage. However, I shorten the sides in good weather by folding it back on itself and clipping it to the top of the pen. To add to the cooling effect, I cover it with a folded length of white floating row cover to reflect the hot sun. It’s sturdy, but lightweight. The corner clips are well attached, I can’t imagine they’d ever rip. It has held up in high winds allowing the girls to roam in their pen without being buffeted so badly.

I use this as a ground cover/footprint for one of my tents. I’ve enclosed a photo in which you can see this tarp extended on the ground in the front vestibule. Very good quality material and definitely waterproof. The only seam across the span of the tarp was taped to insure the waterproofing integrity. A nice stuff sack was included which easily accommodates the tarp when folded. I am impressed with the build quality and performance of this tarp and highly recommend it!

It still is pretty big for the pack size but it can be used as a shelter top, ground tarp, or I am sure a make shift stretcher if needed. The biggest thing to remember is that it is rectangular....
