Great for a secure tie to the ground. Provides excellent strength for a tie point. There are a couple of issues that you need to be aware of. If you put them in the ground by hand, you are going to be there for a while, use a drill and a socket. If the ground is not a good match, you may have seveal more issues, too sandy soil is not secure, rocky ground means it will not go all the way down or it will auger around and loosen itself beyond usefulness. The top of these is such a short stub of a nut, it is difficult to keep any tool on it to get it in the ground. The nut portion needs to be about 1/2" long, or longer. The covering is thick, so they might last a while. You definently shouldn't loose that bright orange color. Not a bad idea, not a bad implementation. I would buy again, or buy more.

Nice anchors but unfortunately I had to use a wire wheel to remove all of the paint from the heads of all of them so the 14mm socket fit. Paint was too thick. Hopefully they hold up.

I was skeptical on its holding power but it, held down a 12x26 canopy in 15-20 mph winds. I have pretty rocky soil in northern NJ, didn't have a hard time getting it in, used a 14mm socket and ratchet. I just wish I got a second set while it was on sale.
