- SMART & SIMPLE - The ReefMat is a plug & play, fully automated, smart fleece roller filter that keeps your aquarium water crystal clear for weeks at a time. Designed with the hobbyist in mind, the ReefMat features an easy fleece-mat replacement system that allows you to switch rolls without having to remove the filter from the sump or turn off the pumps.
- FULLY ASSEMBLED - The ReefMat comes fully assembled, straight out of the box. Designed to hang on a sump wall to conserve space, but also including mounting legs, you can place the ReefMat anywhere you want in your sump that has the space avaialble. Both the drive unit and inlet hose can be positioned on either side of the ReefMat making installation work for any sump set up.
- FILTER ROLLS - The ReefMat comes with one fleece roll. The length of fleece-mat dispensed can be customized, allowing for optimal system performance. Each roll should last about 5-8 weeks on a moderately stocked reef system; however, bare-bottom tanks will typically exhaust rolls at a faster rate. Additionally, usage rate may be significantly higher for the first few weeks after installing a ReefMat while your system adjusts to the new level of mechanical filtration.
- APP CONTROL - ReefBeat gives you timely notifications when the fleece not only needs maintenance, but also if it should get stuck or torn. If any error occurs, the motor will simply not attempt to feed any more fleece until the issue is resolved. The end of Roll Monitor function lets you know the daily average use, and how many days you have left before the filter roll runs out so you can plan ahead

This thing has completely changed how I handle filtration on my reef tank. Once it’s dialed in, it just works — automatically advances the fleece as it gets dirty and my water stays noticeably clearer. No more pulling nasty filter socks every few days. Maintenance is basically set-it-and-forget-it now. Red Sea technically says it’s not compatible with the Max S-400, but with a little replumbing and a small sump modification, it works great. If you’re even a little handy, it’s absolutely doable and 100% worth it. Install was otherwise straightforward, and it integrates really well if you’re already running Red Sea gear. One of the best upgrades I’ve made to my system.

I reset my 8yo tank and had detritus sludge everywhere in the sump. every now and again i could catch a wiff of it and i was scared company would notice but not say anything. After watching these for a few years i decided now was the time. Not only is my sump completely clean but my glass stays clean longer and is easier to wipe off. Downside is I have less pods in my sump but i suppose i don't need them if there is nothing to clean up. all parameters are within range so my sumps bioballs must be happy.

I’ve considered buying this for over a year but put it off. I shouldn’t have. It works even better than I imagined compared to my filter socks. It’s hard to qualify, but I’m guessing it removes 4 to 5 times as much detritus. Especially when cleaning my stump and it kicks up a cloud. The filter roll basically just keeps advancing for the next hour until the water is perfectly clear and removes virtually everything that was kicked up.

You mean I don’t have to touch the stinky, dirty filter floss anymore??? oh my GOSH YESSSS!! Worth every penny!! Quick and easy to assemble and set up in our sump! Barely makes a sound and is just perfect for our aquarium! Changing the roll is super easy! I haven’t had any issues with the reef mat, and it’s been up and running now for almost two months!
