Don’t let the name fool you - this indoor recycling bin has multiple functions beyond just recycling plastic. And I dare say, it bears a closer resemblance to a laundry basket than a recycling bin. Despite everything, I’ll continue to utilize it in my home office because it’s an ideal fit next to my desk and complements the overall office aesthetic. Additionally, it serves as a convenient receptacle for discarding paper and plastic items. Furthermore, it adds a touch of beauty to any indoor room, but I have reservations about placing it in a kitchen or bathroom due to potential moisture damage that may harm the fabric. The assembly was incredibly simple, and although instructions were given, they weren’t necessary. While it seems to be sturdy and durable, it lacks the stability of a conventional plastic trash bin, especially when it becomes heavy and full. Overall, and considering the reasons I am using it, it deserves a 5-star rating.

I have limited space in my kitchen so for years, the recycling has gone into a paper grocery bag that sits behind our trash can. It works but you can only put so many cans and bottles into a grocery bag before it overflows, and another bag is needed. I like the fact that this recycling bin is tall and thin. It fits in the same position where the paper grocery bags have gone but because it's taller, I can collect more recycling before putting it in the main recycling blue bin for our building. There's a lid that fastens with velcro, more for aesthetics than for sealing the container. I still appreciate that it has a lid, though. Because the bin doesn't have a "garbage bin" look, just a storage container look, it could be used for something other than a recycling bin. The fabric feels like felt. You'll need a liner for the bin if you use it as a recycling bin and ever want to repurpose it. It doesn't seem like it would be easy to wash the bin itself. I really appreciate that the bin folds down and can be stored away, should I ever want to do that. But because it's capable of folding down, the sides aren't as sturdy as a solid bin. I'm giving it 4 stars for now and will see how the sides hold up with repeated use.

I guess I was expecting something much different when I ordered the Recycling Bin for Kitchen Indoor Recycle Bin-Recycling Bin with Lid. I was surprised to see all that is forming the bin is 4 sticks that you insert into the top and a thin base for the bottom. The sides still kind of fall in on themselves. It's not that attractive for my home, but I'm personally not a fan of the type of material. You may like the felt material. If I end up using this, it will end up in the garage. I don't think I will end up using it for my recyclables, though, because it seems too flimsy for that purpose. I may use it as storage for extra blankets or sheets. Or maybe as a laundry basket. I will definitely need to put a plastic garbage bag inside of it to keep it from getting gross. There really doesn't appear to be a way to clean it. Getting it wet doesn't look like it would do it any favors, either. For the price point of $30.99 - at the time of this writing, 6/10/2024 - I would return it had it not been a Vine product.

Some recycling bins look industrial but this looks like it belongs in a home. This bin comes with four bamboo sticks to insert around the top to keep the top stiff and square. The bottom is kept solid by an insert that is pressed down into the bottom from the top. My arms were barely long enough to do this, so you're a shorter person you may need some help. The lid folds over and attaches with a Velcro patch and the labels attach that way as well. I am going to line it with a plastic bag but I don't think that is absolutely necessary since this is light weight and can be easily lifted into a car to take to the recycling center. I prefer to take my recycling in bags and will put a standard plastic bag in this. Looks good. Light weight. Great recycling bin.

First off, I love this idea. The design is solid except for one thing, it’s difficult to keep upright in some cases. That’s why I’m gave it 4 stars. For the most part it stays in place and standing up straight. Now, this is right next to my 3D printer farm so I can throw out all the failed prints and tiny pieces of plastic and not have to worry that I’m not recycling. The 3 signs, plastic, wood, metal, are all very easy to read and very visible. I don’t see a need for them unless you have more than 1 of these bins. Overall, great pick. Definitely recommended

While I really like the aesthetics of this recycling bin, it doesn't seem at all practical now that I have it in front of me. It's made of thick felt, which, while sturdy and light weight, can't be cleaned. So, although this holds a 13 gallon trash bag, eventually it's going to get splashed with the not-quite rinsed out remains of soda cans, soup cans, milk jugs, etc.

The media could not be loaded. Prior to using this bin, I was using a tote bag hanging on a door knob to hold my recycle items rather than go in and out of the garage every time I had something to recycle. This bin is three times the size of my tote and holds a lot more, and for that reason, this is definitely a step up from what I was using previously. There just isn’t much structure, and so for that reason, I could not give 5 stars. There are four small pieces of wood that you slip into the top of the bin, which does give some stability, and I think putting a plastic liner Inside helps give it structure as well. However, I think the price is a little high for this collapsible bin.
