Incredible pellet smoker - I've used it most of the summer and it works flawlessly. The app is great - being able to monitor the temp of the grill and the food is awesome. The only complaint about the app is that it does not have an alarm to tell you when the meat is done. It only informs you on the screen. So if I need an alarm, I use my kitchen alarm and app in the meat. I did have trouble connecting with the app because the grill is on the deck, but I bought a wifi extender and it solved the problem. I bought the extra shelf accessory from recteq and it was well worth the money. Super sturdy and install takes about 5 minutes.

This machine is (exceptionally) poorly designed. I have made a number of machines (for generating lenses and mirrors). Recteq must have partime highschool students checking design reliability. I have used new, totally dry pellets. I have bought their product (a screening bucket) to eliminate dust and pellet fragments. The igniter also fails, causing the auger to stop. I have followed their directions using my own torch to ignite the pellets in the firebox. The auger starts to work, but chokes on the next round of pellets. The idea behind using a pellet machine is to handle multiple-hour cooking times (like overnight). One can't count on this machine running even short periods of time.

Built well. I wanted to leave a 5 star review. If you plan on using the wifi/blue tooth and have an android device, it won't work with android 10 at first. You have to use a newer version for the first hook up and then your older version will work. I called the "USA based customer service "and they told me they have a problem with android devices working with this and I should find a friend with an Apple device!!!! my head almost exploded. after several techs I finally found one who could help me. I did not spend this much money to find out it has a problem they know about. Other than that it cooks nice, and once you get connected to the app it is nice to have.

I was very skeptical about not only spending over 800 dollars on a grill, but buying one from an online only company where I was unable to physically see the grill in person, usually I stay away from stuff like that. I expected it to take at least a week to arrive but I ordered it Wednesday afternoon and it was here by Friday morning. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to assemble the thing since I am very mechanically declined but the thing was a piece of cake even though I put the legs on backwards at first, make sure the holes on the legs line up inside so you can attach the shelf. Overall this thing is a great grill, what sold me on it were the stainless steel everything and the ceramic ignition. I've owned one pellet grill in my life and I cheaped out and got a 300 dollar smoker that died within a year, so hopefully this thing lasts me a decade because its not cheap.
