Bought for my 6 yo. Holds all of her full year of supplies easy peasy to take to school on her first day including a couple large tissue boxes, runners and lunch kit! Lots of space, compartments and she LOVES the colour! On regular days it is lightweight and thin not bulky at all. Bought a black and green one three years ago for my son and he still loves it and it still looks like new! So glad I found one for my daughter! I really like the slip pocket in the largest compartment (against their back) so the kids can bring home their projects without bending or wrecking the paper! The zippers are all of excellent quality and snow suits/splash pants and extra clothes are carried at the bottom of the middle compartment out of their way with ease. The mesh outter sides work awesome for their water bottles of various sizes. Lightweight and great for field trips. My 8 year old son loves his back pack because it has a lot of pockets. He likes the small one for his recess snacks and my daughter already knows this for her pink bag as she has put his snacks for him in the past. The small pocket is easily flipped out to shake out any crumbs. I like the mesh 1/2 pocket in the front compartment for a wallet, tissue packet, bandaids and 2nd pair of mitts. The zipper keeps them well contained and out of the way but the child knows it’s there if needed. I wish these were available when I was a kid!!! The vibrant colouring make it easy to pick out at after school pick up time when there are 30 bags in a pile on the floor. Keeps child safer as it keeps them visable when out walking. Nice quality backpack. I had previous version used heavily for at least 10 years. It's still in good shape I just wanted a new one that is clean and the elastic for the drink holders is the only thing that has worn out. I def recommend for heavy daily use like books or groceries etc Hopefully this one lasts as long. Pockets are very convienant for holding variety of items ... show more

I LOVE THIS BACKPACK! But I only have a couple issues, the actual shoulder straps seem to have almost NO padding, which sucks for continuous use overtime. But the actual back is very comfortable, and I was also very dissatisfied to find out it is DEFINITELY NOT WATERPROOF I tried to carry my jug in it and it spilled accidentally and some of my gear was SOAKED! So not waterproof or very thick material as I’ve noticed my gear gets cold if it’s cold outside, but the main compartment is large enough to fit TWO SIZE FIVE balls. ... show more

This backpack is large and very well made! Very roomy and spacious. The black color option is perfect for a husband who stains and rips ever book bag he has ever had. He is a teacher and this bag has been used ever day since we received it has had no issues- even with him throwing it around like a sack of potatoes. It holds his laptop, spare clothing, a large water bottle, lunch bag and random extras he needs each day with plenty of room to spare. It is very lightweight which is important for someone who carries around a 12 hour day worth of needs in their school bag. Would be great for a person who travels for work.
