So I have a love hate relationship with this stuff. Pros: Nice vibrant color, Smells good, Good amount of product for the cost!. I bought 2 bottles of this and I have shoulder length hair. I mix some with conditioner and I've done my hair a lot already along with mixing some into an older shampoo and conditioner for touch ups and still have a lot left! Cons: This stuff makes a MESS! Literally there's red everywhere and weeks later it'll still bleed everywhere! It doesn't last as long as I'd like but I always have this problem when it come to red, period. I tried this brand due to looking for a new brand. I used to use special effects their atomic pink😍 I absolutely loved everything about that stuff especially how long it would stay in my hair, I literally wouldn't have to touch it up for months on end, but sadly everything good always comes to an end and they stopped making it😭, so I got this hoping this stuff would compare to special effects, but I feel like I'm touching my hair up way more frequently then Id like to. I started adding some to one of my older shampoo and conditioners I have so I just touch it up while washing my hair now to try to keep it nice and vibrant instead of doing my normal process all the time because I'm just to lazy to constantly be doing all that. Conclusion: All in all, it's a good product I can't complaining. The price is right, It smells yummy, it's not damaging my hair which is fantastic (I'd rather use this and constantly touch up my hair then using a permanent color along with developer and still constantly having to touch it up and just damaging my hair, and to top it all off, I get lots of compliments on the color! I'll be repurchasing this in the future and would def recommend! Just be proceed with caution, when I say this stuff is messy I mean this stuff is MESSSYYY! You'll have it all over your hands, shower, pillow cases, hoodies, shirts and whatever else it comes in contact with for ever lol. I mean it does seem to at least wash out of my clothes and pillow cases and clorox gets it off of sinks and showerS, so just be prepared for that but other then the mess it's not bad!

Start with the yay. Amazing color, it smells fruity, goes on smooth and relatively easy to wash out. I have tried a lot of vegan hair dyes and this one is one of the better ones for color and processing. The nay. I read the reviews about staining and honestly I don't mind it. It happens. I did how ever underestimate my scrubbing abilities. Its been 3 days and I have tried everything in my arsenal of supplies to get it out. I have found that dawn platinum and a magic eraser works best, my tub is textured so it's taking a little longer. But down does get it off the skin really well. Will update when color starts to fade.

It worked and I’ve had in it for 2 weeks now and hasn’t faded (washing every other day) the staining would NOT go away it stained a lot of my clothing tho eventually I got it to stop but it was difficult if u don’t mind that then I’d buy it

The nicest way to put it is I will never buy again. First I bought it because it was vegan friendly didn’t require me to use extra chemicals etc. And I love the color. I was super excited when it arrived not knowing that the product I just bought was about to become a three week nightmare. 1. Product comes with NO directions. First went their website where I also couldn’t find directions. Thank god I thought to look back on Amazon. 2. It tells you to leave in for 15 mins…… hahaha I’ve been dying my hair for years and I know that isn’t even a realistic time frame unless you are bleaching. I left in for 45 mins because I had greys that needed to be covered. 3. Color WAS (key word Was) beautiful. It lasted at that red for up to two washes then started to turn orange. The bottle advertised up to 45 washes (false advertisement). 4. The product bleeds even when dry. I have never seen such craziness in my life. Like I could understand when it’s wet. All the red dyes bleed like that. BUT seriously EVERY time for two weeks I’d touch my hair while it was dry my fingers would then be the same color. SMH embarrassing. 4. Like I said bleeds while dry so I have ruined 2 $45.00 pillows (also bought on Amazon and are fantastic) and good amount of clothes. 5. Ended up having to wear my hair pulled up in a bun during the day and where a shower cap at night. Moral of the story DO NOT buy go to your local Sally’s or professional Hair supply store and get you a real product that will work. I returned all the extra bottles I bought of this product and immediately went to Sally’s and bought the ION version of the Red.

I thought the color was turning out great when I first applied the dye. It was staining my skin more than I expected it to based on my past experience with other similar products, and the dye wasn't coming off with rubbing alcohol so my skin is stained red, including my hands (even though I wore gloves). Then when I rinsed my hair, it stained my entire bathtub pink (shocker). I had to scrub it ten times over with rubbing alcohol, Mr. Clean Clean Freak, and magic erasers and even then there's still a pink hue to my bathtub and shower walls. Not only that, but since it stained my hands it gets all over anything I try to touch now. Washing my hands does little because anytime I touch my hair even a little bit, it stains them again! There goes my security deposit. Also all of my pillows are ruined because the dye won't stay just in your hair even when your hair is completely dry. I wouldn't recommend using this brand.

I take the whole bottle and like half it with some conditioner. It keeps my hair the reddest of reds. I use it almost every wash but don’t wash my hair often. Smells atrocious but the conditioner mix helps that lol. Other than that, it really gets the job done. Must use gloves, even when used with conditioner. Will stain EVERYTHING! I recommend a spray bottle of bleach and water for your shower and just some alcohol and a towel to get it off your skin. I rarely ever get it on my skin. I have a system and it works. Way cheaper than any color depositing conditioner and more effective. Hair is healthy.
