The mini water softener arrived in a plastic bag, along with the documentation. It did not come in a box with additional information about the product (country of origin, date of manufacture, etc.) It appears to be a DVA minisoftener, particularly an ETO model (FA06/B). It fits perfectly into the water reservoir of a Rancilio Silvia. It must be connected to the suction hose—the longer of the two hoses located in the reservoir, and the one featuring the angled cut. You need to calculate how many days it will take before replacing it with a new one. ... show more

Comes with a list of how to set up, however... no explanation on what line to attach the filter to ... I plan on replacing this every 6 months for peace of mind on my Rancilio Silvia Pro X. (Hard Water creates calcium deposits inside the heated tanks.)
