Starting to realize that showerheads are a lot like wine, in that price has little to do with quality or functionality. I am comparing this showerhead to a no-name 2.0 gpm model given to my by my water utility many years ago. We only considered replacing that gem because we are remodeling the bathroom, and initially thought that it would be nice to have a brushed nickel Grohe showerhead to match the rest of the fixtures. That was foolish - the function is way more important than the look when it comes to showerheads. Though incredibly expensive, this one does not work very well, even though it has a flow of 2.5 gpm which is more than our current one. The rainshower part means that water falls straight down, and that the showerhead has no special inner structure to give more water pressure. The champagne mist spray feels nice, but again has little pressure. The other functions are pretty much useless as the spray for those is such a small diameter that it only hits a small part of your body at a time. Overall, it takes longer to rinse than with our old 2.0 gpm model, and there is no massage-like function that is worthwhile. Maybe I just don't like rainshowers, but this one feels particularly underpowered. Try a simpler cheaper non-rainshower showerhead like Waterpik Powerpulse to get lots of pressure without using lots of water. Finally, I live in Washington State - the plumbing code here requires showerheads that have 1.8 gpm or less. The Grohe site states that this is not supposed to be shipped to Washington, yet Amazon sent it to me in WA - if you are trying to get ready for a plumbing inspection, be aware that this one will not meet current requirements. ... show more

Very mixed feelings about this product: After installation it seems to work fine, but when I tried to shift between the spray patterns water began to splash out from the rim, i.e. from the space between the casing and the spray face. I took the head apart, but couldn’t see any problems. All gaskets appeared to be in their right places. The assembly is really quite simple. I put the head together without the casing, hoping the problem would reveal itself, but now it worked fine. So I assembled the entire head again and the problem reappeared. Very frustrating! It took two more rounds of disassembling, scrutinizing, and reassembling before the gizmo finally worked. However, since I still don’t know exactly what caused the problem, my hunch is that it may reappear anytime. Oh, by the way, it's quite nice when it works:-) ... show more

This is such a luxurious and awesome shower head I'm sorry I didn't get one earlier in life. It really disperses water in a way that feels great and totally covers the bod. I'm short, and in my first fifty years on the planet the shower head always seemed too tall, like the water had to travel too far to get to me to provide an enjoyable experience. I hated showers. Then we got this shower head. OMG. It is really worth the money. There was an interior part that gave out too soon but we wrote the manufacturer and they quickly shipped a new one. ... show more

I like the showerhead. So much so that when it started leaking and the rotating selector broke, I bought another one. This was after 3 years so I figured no big deal. Nine months after purchasing second one same issue. Nice product, not durable. Keep that in mind when selecting.

Once again, Grohe has delivered another top notch, quality product. I've always been a fan of Grohe engineered products and this showerhead meets my high expectations. It functions as clean and sleek as it looks. Very tasteful design, feels solid, and delivers a variety of very functional sprays. It's very easy to adjust the variable spray pattern by simply twisting the head, even with wet soapy hands. How did we live without this? Our shower area is too small for a traditional rain shower head. This is perfectly proportional for the space and is perfect for our needs, giving us much greater water flow than we expected.
