I am quite impressed! I dye my hair often and this added a vibrance I wasnt expecting for such an inexpensive product. I went with a flame ombre and when my tips didnt turn as yellow as I wanted I ordered this (in yellow) and was impressed with not only how easily it spread and how well it saturated, but the color was vibrant and my tips felt pretty soft after brushing it through! It didnt last long as far as staying bright (about 7or 8 washes so roughly a month) but enough came in the container to do 3 or 4 applications (about 4" high in my hair across my whole head) It also smells nice (like a cheap fruity shampoo or something) and not very chemical or anything Warning: IT STAINS SKIN! I had yellow fingertips for about 4 days, routinely scrubbing, but a bit of vaseline around my hair line and some gloves worked just fine to prevent future skin staining. I look forward to trying other colors of this brand and will reccomend it to anyone looking for intense, temporary color. ... show more

Okay, this is the BEST hair dye I've ever had! I just got it as of November 8th 2019 (yesterday for me) and I've wanted a dye that was different, and would be good for my hair. I bleached with Manic Panic first and then got out the yellow dye jar. It smells wonderful, I was IMPRESSED with the bright color! It hardly stained my hand (actually it only stained UNTIL I washed my hands and it went away). Easy application! I left it in for 1 hour and 30 minutes (i know it says 15-30 minutes but dye needs to sit more than 15πŸ˜…) .When I had to wash my hair I was worried cause I heard many people who did reviews on the product said it would stain the bathroom. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO STAINING! πŸ˜­πŸ’•. Now, this may be the fact I used the yellow dye, but I ALSO had pink and orange dyes mixed in and it worked completely fine! This dye is a 10/10 and I will absolutely buy this again!! If you're looking for a vibrant and long lasting dye, you'll LOVE this! I used Unicorn Hair Hair Dye in the color Bubblegum Pink for my pink bangs, Punky Bright Yellow for the top, and I mixed the 2 for orange to make a slight checker pattern! πŸ’• ... show more

I love how long the yellow was able to stay in my hair, until I had to dye it back to brown for a funeral. After two rounds of dye remover, half an hour of scrubbing, and a round of bleach, the color still remained vibrant. I dyed over it and it STILL shown through. I've been dying my hair for about twelve years and Punky is always my go-to brand. This can look a bit orange after the first rinse. Wash it once or twice and you've got a perfect yellow! It lasts in my hair like a permanent dye. This picture was taken after over a month of it in my hair with no refreshes! The only times I ever needed to reapply it was when I had to bleach my roots and add it in. I put it over the rest of my hair just to keep it matching, and it always looked perfectly even! I had it dyed with this for six months and only redid it twice. But the ends were always still super bright. And this dye always makes my hair feel great. Soft, fluffy, and conditioned after it's rinsed out. I don't use any other products to style my hair, just fairly cheap shampoo and conditioner. And of course, tons of bleach. I have dark hair so it takes a lot of damage. And it feels amazing when I use Punky in it. I stand by this stuff entirely. ... show more

Used this yellow for my rainbow hair for my rainbow hair and it worked out great! I probably wouldn't do my whole head this color, I'm really pale and it would totally wash me out, its good for a peak-a-boo color. Smells great, like lemon candy! Update: I tried three different hair color brands for my rainbow hair: Jerome Russell, Pravana and Manic panic. I would say the best of the three was Jerome Russell. I had the pink and the yellow in those colors and those were the colors that lasted the longest. Manic panic faded the fastest, and only lasted about three days before it was significantly lighter. Pravana lasted like crazy too, but it stains my shower more than the Jerome Russell did. It's not that big of a nuisance for me, just a reason to rate Jerome Russell higher. I don’t know how they did it, but the Jerome Russell hair color lasted for over a month and was still super bright after all of that time, but somehow it didn't stain my grout what so ever. ... show more

This was a "new" brand for us to use. We have spent 6 years changing the color of my daughters hair over and over again. There isn't a color we haven't used and we have used most brands. The staying power of this is AMAZING! We are going on the third week and the hair is still vibrant! It also appears to have more shine than other brands we have used.
