I bought the PULACO 50GPH 3W Mini Submersible Water Pump to replace an older pump in my tabletop fountain, and I couldn’t be happier with it. Right out of the box, it felt well-made despite its small size, and setup was incredibly simple — just plug it in, submerge it, and it’s ready to go. The pump runs whisper-quiet, which is exactly what I needed for an indoor setup. You can hear the gentle trickle of water from the fountain without any mechanical hum in the background. The adjustable flow control is a great feature — I was able to fine-tune the water stream for the perfect sound and movement. Even though it’s tiny, it’s surprisingly powerful for 3 watts. It easily circulates water in my fountain, and I’ve also tested it in a small hydroponic system where it performed flawlessly.     • Small pump that works well.
I have a small fountain that I want to keep clean for birds and bees. This makes it easy to drain it for cleaning and refilling. Happy with the purchase. I've only used it once but seems to do a good job and a lot faster than I thought for such a small pump - pretty cool. Thanks.

    • A useful little pump
I purchased this pump to help with doing weekly aquarium water changes. The pump is small and the suction cups allow for easy attachment to the glass inside the aquarium. There is a variable speed setting, but I always use it at the max speed. It takes a few minutes to pump 3.5 gallons of water into or out of the aquarium. It is fairly quiet. Issues: - When pumping water back into the tank, I need to put the bucket of new water on a chair, at about the same level as the aquarium. The pump doesn't seem have enough power to push the water up into the tank if the bucket is on the floor. - The hose initially had some kinks due to how it was packaged, but after using it for several water changes, the hose has returned to a normal shape and it doesn't show any issues now. - One time the pump briefly stopped working, but that appeared to be due to sucking in some debris and wasn't the pump's fault. Flushing it out with some water cured the problem. For the price, it's an OK pump. I just wish it had a bit more power so that it could pump water up from the floor level into the aquarium. ... show more

Works well and seems well made. I am sure in the right situation this would be an excellent little pump. It turned out to be a little under powered for my project but I have plans to use it in another. I am actually using the next size up pump from the same maker and it is working a treat!

    • Works well for what we needed
It’s mostly what I expected. Arrived on time. It was perfect for our 2.5’ tall Small fountain. Could work for a cat fountain, or small to medium aquarium fountain. Is quiet and functional. After we tried it out, I couldn’t decide what I wanted to use it for because I could see more uses for it! :) The little suction cups underneath don’t work very well, but I’m happy with the price for the buy. Make sure it’s fully submerged, to protect the motor; OURS WORKS GREAT ! It’s small (1”x 1.5”x 2”), fits in the palm of my hand, and fairly discreet. The tube it came with is okay, not as quality as I had hoped, but it worked when I cut off a piece of a wide straw and put it on the inside of the tube before I attached it to the pump. Came with a couple basic attachments. It sped up a little after it started going, so watch for that so that it doesn’t overflow. Overall I’m happy with it. ... show more

Nice little pump but it stopped working after 1 month. I removed the cap and gave the propeller a little spin and it started working fine. Reasonable solution!

    • Small and silent
It’s tiny, it’s basically silent, it’s just about perfect! Cons: it’s a bit difficult to adjust the flow rate by small amounts, and minimum is really off. But you won’t go wrong. You’ll love it, the cons are nitpicks. I’ll take them for something this small and silent any day.

Very disappointed with this product. First of all I understood "mini" but not mini to the level of what the product was. I was trying to use it to air rate a small pond. Initial flow was good but water volume started to decrease pretty quick. There was no way this pump met the 50GPH claim. I have built and maintained decorative fountains for many years and by far was the most disappointing. ... show more
