    • Cheap solution for a mission-critical cooling system.
I needed a new recirculation pump to replace a pump with a worn bearing (that was squealing). It is used to circulate deionized water through a large heat sink and then through a small radiator with a fan. The "real" pumps are super expensive, with lots of focus on looking "cool." I don't need the "look," and I also don't need to cool the CPU and GPU of a power-hungry gaming computer. So I put this little pump in a plastic storage container with a hole in the snap lid. Water tubes and electrical cord go in and out through the hole, and the hole is sealed up with "dumdum." Easy-peasy. The assembly sits on top of the rack housing, where I can observe the water flowing. No need to bleed it. Just plug it in and go. This pump does not make the design mistake of my previous pump, which is to have plastic friction parts against plastic. It's got a stainless shaft, so it should last much longer. And yes, never trust expensive equipment to a cheapo pump: My solution to that is to place a temperature sensor on the heat sink that will shut the whole operation down if it goes overtemperature. The circulation rate is perfect - just a steady flow. Very quiet. Only 3W. Enough head to do the job. Best of all, I have a spare one in stock, if I need to replace it.     • Perfect silent pumps
I use misting systems for my reptiles (snake and gecko). The snake uses a lot of water, so the reservoir is always changing water levels. However, the gecko only uses minimal water so the water in the reservoir sits stagnant most of the time. I discovered that even distilled water can grow mold of it is not moving. So, I bought these 2 pumps and have them hanging down into the reservoir a little above the bottom. I do not want them resting on the side or the bottom as even a slight vibration bothers the animals. They work perfectly and give the water enough movement to keep it safe for my animals. ... show more

Buying this brand the third time. Pretty reliable. This time I bought 2 pumps set for two different purposes but the box arrived with only one piece of the silicone hose. Very curious why?

    • Affordable alternative to fountain
I use these to increase humidity in my ikea greenhouse cabinets and they give the perfect amount. Humidifiers are too strong and I didn’t want to buy a bulky fountain, so these were the perfect option that also save space. Adjustable strength is nice too

The media could not be loaded. Purchased this set to fix this little used waterfall I got. Had to cut the tubing to fit this as it needed a shorter tube but otherwise it worked great.

    • Falls apart easily
It has a great flow and it’s great for smaller fish tanks. My concern is the fact that the plastic components fall apart easily, along with the suction cups. It was so difficult for me to install it in my tank.

    • Quite powerful yet tiny

The media could not be loaded. I was surprised at how tiny these little pumps are and then again at how powerful they are! They come with lots of very soft and flexible hose. I was using them for my DIY hydroponics so I didn't need the hose. The plastic bin that I show in the photo with the pump is 14L and nearly full. The pump created a small little fountain of water within the bin because it has so much power. Even with that, it's still very quiet. Once some of the roots start to grow, I don't think I'll hear the water disruption at all. But that's all I hear, is the trickle of the water. I don't hear the pump itself running. ... show more
