The texture is awesome, sheer, but not in a way that anyone could see details in your room. They are not flimsy and delicate like most sheer type curtains are, they have some "meat" to them. These curtains are a lovely shade of yellow. Sheer enough to let in plenty of light, but provide some sense of not having my house just completely open to the street. The grommets are metal and not too bulky-- some cheap curtains have gross clunky plastic grommets, and these are thankfully not that.
