Great grommets the hold the rope just fine. The grommets are strong metal, not plasticy, they hold the rope securely even when the wind is gusting. The tarp itself is sturdy, thick, water repellent; made of heavy-duty plastic, it is resistant to tears. This tarp will stop the wind and repel the rain. Perfect for lean-to camping or temporary roof emergency repair till you get your roofer at it. Do that sooner rather than later so the wood doesn't rot. Great product! Durable. Portable. Effective! I'm unsure how a tarp has anything to do with a pool. I suppose it would block leaves getting in. It's not a flotation device. Would, as illustrated, protect your inflatable pool toy from small sharp objects on the grass.

This is a fairly standard tarp, with well finished edges and reinforced corners. The grommets appear to be well installed. I don't see any flaws in the material, so I don't expect it to leak. Candidly, I don't much like the blue color, but that's a ME thing. What I'm not happy about is the stink when I opened it -- a lot of things made in China smell like this, it's a combination of cigarettes and rubber. Oddly, I also had a bit of liquid in mine, and I'm not thrilled to ponder why something brand new in a vacuum-sealed package is wet.... Those two bits are offputting for me, but the item is functional -- I would not recommend this for something inside the house, or even the garage because of the stink, and the questionable substance in the packaging. But if you're putting thise outside, no worries. Depending on your final use case, the value is good-to-excellent.

If I were to rate this just as a tarp to lay under a pool to protect the pool from stones, tree roots, nuts, and grass on the ground as the description suggests, I’d give this 5-stars. That’s because it is a thicker PVC material than the standard off-the-shelf box store tarp, the corners are reinforced with a heavy plastic as opposed to just folded string reinforced tarp material, and the eyelets are created with metal grommets -- which you won't need if you are using it as a pool underlayment. But in this application, there is no stress placed on the grommets or string that reinforces the edges. It just lays on the ground under the pool. However, if I were to rate this as a tarp for what most people commonly use it for; for example, as a tarp to secure a load as we did, I’d have to evaluate it on performance under stress. Yes, it is slightly thicker than common tarps, and yes, it does have metal grommets which allowed us to tie down the tarp over our load. But, before our carpenter could finish our trip taking a load of refuse to the dump, one of the plastic corner reinforcements broke, and the grommet tore away from the tarp. This made it a one-use tarp to secure a load on a trailer traveling on a public road. Value: Similar size tarps of the same reinforced thickness, metal grommets, and rust-proof corner anchors, sell for less. This is why I took 2 stars from the rating.

Very nice large tarp. Its thick and works great. I don't have lush green grass but I do have dirt and weeds. This made a nice clean area for the pool. Very good water proof tarp. It's durable and thick. It comes packaged so well that I wish I could get it down to that size. Very good price for the tarp.

This tarp works pretty well for its intended purpose. I mainly wanted it to create a barrier between the inflatable lounger and the dirt in the backyard, and for that, it did exactly what we needed. It does a decent job protecting against rocks and uneven ground, helping prevent wear and tear on the inflatable. However, it’s still important to pay attention to what’s underneath. If you place it over a stick that’s sticking up vertically, it can still fail. That kind of damage is very possible if pressure is applied directly over something sharp. Lesson learned: don’t stomp on it to try to force a stick down, because it will just poke right through, that was a cousin error. It’s also worth noting that this tarp is not padded, so it doesn’t add cushioning or prevent sliding. Its strength is protection, not comfort or grip. For regular backyard use, grass, dirt, small rocks, and general ground issues, it works great. Just make sure to clear any rogue sticks poking out of the grass beforehand. Overall, a solid and effective solution for protecting inflatables when used as intended.

I purchased this Protection Tarp to use underneath our inflatable tanning pool loungers, and so far, it appears to be well-made and durable. The material feels strong enough to protect the bottom of our floats from rough surfaces and potential punctures, giving me peace of mind when using them on patios or lawns. It’s a practical accessory that adds an extra layer of protection, which helps extend the life of our inflatables. The size fits well for the floats we have, but I would love to see options for combo packs including different sizes to better accommodate a range of float shapes and dimensions. Overall, this tarp is a solid purchase and does the job it’s meant to. I’m rating it 4 stars for quality and usefulness, with a suggestion for more size variety in the future.
