  • YOU PUT THE STABILITY IN THIS PRODUCT. IF YOU WORK, IT WORKS FOR YOU!
Color: Purple
I was in Rehabilitation for 8 weeks from a total right hip replacement & coupled with Multiple Sclerosis BALANCE PROBLEMS. THIS WORKED FOR ME!!! OT & PT introduced & helped me attain my balance to WALK AGAIN. I was taught to stand on one with each foot. DO NOT TRY TO DO WITHOUT HELP. A safety belt was placed around my waist with 3 people front, side & back holding onto me. This was hard but with repeated practice & additional leg strengthening, I became "ME" again. Not for kids or those not willing to give 100%. I NOW CAN WALK & MY BALANCE HAS IMPROVED WITH EACH DAY'S. PRACTICE & with a safety belt on was able to regulate my own stability & body core enhancement. I actually bounced a ball & tossed a balloon to my Rehabilitation therapist. Pleased with constant improvement & researched how I could use the Disc at home. This is an ATHLETIC CORE BALANCE DISC. It provides an UNSTABLE surface to exercise, requiring you to USE MORE MUSCLES to stay balanced & improve your body core muscles MUCH! At home I am still using 1 Disc to sit on. You do wobble but will strengthen those muscles to your best benefit. I sit on a tall stool with disc on top to do my daily dishes. Stool has no side arms to hold onto. It is my personal strength & stamina making this work for me. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS & keep progressing everyday. BTW: I am a Grandma with with small Great Grands. If I Can, YOU CAN TOO!!! NEVER GIVE UP!!! It has become a part of my daily routine 😊 ... show more

  • Nifty,helpful little tool!
Color: Blue
Found out this cushion has dual uses. (One side has raised 'bumps' about 1/4 inch high, the other side has rounded, slightly raised bubbles'.) First noticed that a friend uses one when she quilts to ease her hips/rear end during long periods of sitting. It also helps work your core. I first used one at physical therapy to improve my standing balance after a fall. Being a 'senior citizen', the therapist had to test my balance skills and standing on one foot, I was unable to last longer than a few seconds on the flat surface of the floor. He thought it would probably be too difficult for me to use at that time, but I love it when I'm told I can't do something! :-) I ordered one for home and started out standing on it with both feet for a few minutes a day. Eventually I increased my time and began standing with one foot. When I finished therapy about 2 months later, the therapist tested my balance again and I was able to stand on one foot on the floor for over 30 seconds, which really impressed him. I still use it once or twice a week and also place it on my computer chair to help with strengthening my core while I sit. (I am obese and was worried that the cushion would not be able to handle my weight, but that has not been a problem at all.) ... show more

  • A very cost effective solution to overpriced ergo desk accessories
Color: Black
Like many, I ditched the office chair some time ago, and converted to a standing setup. But after a few hours, that does put added pressure on your feet and lower back. There are lots of very pricey mat/wobble products sold to keep your feet busy and legs engaged while standing. For $15, this is just large enough to put both feet on, have the nubs up or down, force your core to pay attention to balance and cushion your feet. There isn't any risk of "falling off" and by putting one foot on the floor, you're completely stabilized again. It isn't designed to be a desk accessory - but it works great for me. And with a little extra air in it, there are a number of actual theraoy/exercise uses for it as well. I can't claim to have a newly ripped core or anything, but it must burn an extra few calories over standing on the floor. ... show more

  • Impossible to inflate and no customer support!
Color: Blue
I received this item for my 4 year old to use based on his physical therapist's recommendation to help him avoid "W" sitting. However, when it arrived and I tried to inflate it the needle broke off the pump that was included. When I tried to use a regular bike pump I had absolutely no success either. When I called customer service, no one answered and their voicemail box was full! Absolutely useless product! ... show more

  • Even if you exercise regularly, if you sit at a desk all day, you need this!
Color: Purple
Exercise has been a part of my daily routine for many years- I consider it essential to my physical and mental well being. I'm one of the few people who actually use the exercise equipment in their basement- in fact I bought it to make sure I could exercise, when weather or long work hours might interfere with getting to the gym. Therefore, I was puzzled when I started developing lower back and hip pain- which are often signs of poor core strength. How could this be? I do core and balance training as part of my routine- and I can even stand on a stability ball! (or could, before my back and hip pain made it too painful). My core is strong, right!?? Well, it turns out that years of sitting at a desk start to take their toll- even if you work out regularly. An hour a day of activity doesn't make up for 8 or 10 hours sitting in a way the human body was not designed for. Especially if, like me, you have poor posture, or curl one leg up under you. Eventually, your exercise routine isn't enough to offset the ill effects of sitting, and your core muscles start to get imbalanced and weak. It took me a while to figure this out, and when I did, buying an exercise cushion seemed like the logical thing to do. A stability ball would be too cumbersome to manage in my office space, and I liked the idea that I could also use this cushion for balance training. I found it an excellent way to engage my core muscles and remind me to sit with my feet on the floor. I'd read that you shouldn't use it for more than an hour or two, but after the first few days I just left it in my chair all the time. It has been a godsend. Of course, the ultimate solution is not to sit at a desk all day- and I try to take more breaks now- but at least while I'm sitting now, it's not quite so bad for my body. The ProSource cushion is high quality and a good value. For the price I can get a second one to add to my basement collection of exercise equipment. ... show more

  • Nice seats, durable
Color: Blue
Use as flexible seating in my classroom. Recommended by a school psychologist who works with kids with different difficulties including adhd. She lent me one to use for a student. He felt self conscious using it, so I bought 3 more of my own. Then he, and several other students got to use these seats and loved them. They have held up for nearly a year in my 2nd grade classroom. ... show more
