As a parent of three young children—two of whom are neurodivergent—I’ve tried several balance discs to support sensory regulation and posture improvement, and the ProsourceFit Core Balance Disc is one of the 2 brands that I think have comparable quality that I purchased from Amazon. The quality is excellent—the material is sturdy and well-made, and it holds up really well to daily use. The disc trainer itself is nice quality and has held up over time. The pump is very poor quality and lasted under a year of infrequent use. When evaluating the price, factor in the cost of a new pump if you don’t already own one.

I bought this balance disc because I wanted something simple that I could use for balance, stability, and core exercises without taking up a lot of space. So far, I’ve been really happy with it. It’s a lot more challenging than it looks, and I’ve been able to use it for several different types of exercises. The 14-inch size is convenient because it’s large enough to stand on comfortably but still small enough that I can easily store it when I’m finished. It doesn’t require a dedicated workout area, which is one of the reasons I wanted something like this in the first place. It comes with a hand pump, which is helpful because you can adjust the amount of air depending on how firm or unstable you want the disc to be. I found that getting the inflation right makes a big difference. With less air, the disc has more movement and requires more effort to maintain balance. With more air, it feels a little more stable and is easier to use for certain exercises. The textured surface is another feature I really like. It provides a good amount of grip and makes me feel more secure when standing on it. I wouldn't say it completely eliminates the possibility of slipping, but the non-slip texture definitely gives me more confidence compared with using a smooth inflatable cushion. I've used it for standing balance exercises, squats, single-leg exercises, and core work. You can also use it while sitting to introduce a little instability into your normal sitting position. There are quite a few ways to incorporate it into a workout once you start experimenting with different exercises. What surprised me most is how much your body has to constantly make small adjustments while standing on it. Even when you're just trying to stand still, you can feel your ankles, legs, and core working to keep you balanced. It's a simple piece of equipment, but it can make basic exercises considerably more challenging. The dual-textured design is a nice touch as well. Depending on how I’m using it, I can choose the surface that feels more appropriate for the exercise. The different textures also make it easier to tell where your feet are positioned. The construction feels solid enough for regular home workouts. I haven't had any issues with the disc losing its shape or the surface feeling like it's going to tear during normal use. Obviously, I wouldn't use it on a sharp surface or around anything that could puncture it. The pump is basic, but it gets the job done. It takes a little time to inflate the disc initially, but once you have it at the firmness you like, you don't need to constantly adjust it. Another thing I appreciate is how portable it is. I can deflate it if necessary and take it with me, although for everyday use I usually just leave it inflated and store it in a closet. Overall, I think this is a great option for anyone looking to add balance and stability training to their workouts without buying a large piece of equipment. It's inexpensive compared with larger balance trainers, doesn't take up much room, and gives you a surprising amount of exercise options. The main thing I'd recommend is taking some time to find the right inflation level for your needs. Too much or too little air can change the difficulty considerably. Once you find the sweet spot, it's a really useful addition to a home workout routine. I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a simple way to work on balance, stability, and core control at home.

Got this for my dog's rehab exercises, so the durability of the material was important, given that little claws would be standing on it every day. We've had no problems with it at all, and I haven't had to refill it with the pump yet. The pump is easy to use, but it is a little counterintuitive that you have to fill it at an angle instead of straight up and down. My dog gets incredibly excited when this little disc comes out, and she's been having a ton of fun doing her exercises with it. On the off chance someone else is thinking of using this for a similar purpose, my dog is a little over 20 in tall, and this comes up to about her elbows, which is just what our rehab doctor wanted in terms of height. She uses this to stretch her hips, to do "around the world," to do sit-stands with her front and back feet elevated, and to balance on with all four feet. If your dog is any bigger than her (about 20 lbs), I'd say they might have trouble getting all four feet on. As for human use, I really can't speak to that. But members of the family have each taken a turn standing on it or trying exercises on it, and it's held up well to all sorts of nonsense we've tried with it. Great purchase overall.

Bought two of these yoga balls to help with balance and I love them. They are sturdy and help a person to learn to keep their balance. There is a smooth side and a raised nubby side. I use both balls or discs together. The smooth side teaches you to learn your balance and the nubby side helps feet release tension and also helps with balance. As an older adult, I find that keeping your balance is quite important and these help train you to do that. Don't put a lot of air in the ball/disc as you want it a little soft not hard. Once you can stand on them using two balls, then try standing on one ball with both feet. These are fun to use for any age.

Well, the disc is ok...but trying to inflate is no good........the needle pump that came with it broke when I tried to inflate, in fact, the needle part I think was already half way broke and it bent completely off & over. So I had another little needle pump that I used all the time and I tried using it and it broke completely. Upset about that, because I had to go & purchase another pump at a local store because I need an air pump for other products. I finally was able to get it inflated to the desired firmness, and I guess after all that, I will keep...but very disappointed and it ended up costing me more money because of needing another pump.
