Living under the Texas sun, these things really don't stand a chance. I have had to replace them every 12 - 18 months. But they work as advertised and since I started using them several years ago I have had no ded critters in my scuppers. Previously I had numerous frogs, toads, snakes, scorpions, etc. These do NOT include an inflation pump. I needed to Carefully use my air compressor, Very Carefully, to inflate these. Minus 1 for no pump, but plus one each for the rubberized bag which may last longer And for the reflector strips which may or may not attract critters But they hold their shape when bent keeping the pads closer to the edge of the pool. The attached photo shows what happens in the Texas sun to fabric bags - they get moldy and degrade in only 1 season.

If you’re an animal lover or you just don’t want to fish dead critters out of your skimmers, this is a must have item. These things work great and they're easy to setup. I recommend using small rocks to weigh them down instead of sand. If they get blown into the pool you don’t want to take a chance of getting sand in the water. Be warned that these things are not real durable. You probably won’t get more than one year out of them. Like anything made out of plastic, the sun will make them brittle over time. They’re not the best looking things either. They definitely won’t make your pool look better. Despite the cons, I’m giving this 5 stars. They keep animals from drowning in the pool and I, for one, don’t want to swim in dead animal water.

I cannot believe how well this works. Before putting these in our pool we would wake up to so many frogs in the pool. Some alive and struggling and some fatalities :-( Now when we go out and check the pool in the morning NOT A SINGLE FROG! I am positive they are still taking a dip in the pool at night but now they can safely find their way out and we live in harmony with them lol. I was wondering at first how the frogs would find this “ladder” in a huge pool - but evidently they do! 100% recommend this!

There was a few years where we would always have a critter or two fall in the pool and drown. We started buying 4 of these every year and that problem has stopped. The only reason I’m not giving these 5 stars is they do not last, but they provide great value for the money. They are easy to install and look fine.

These Really Work! Pro Pool Animal Critter Escape Ramps are exactly what I needed for my pool. I was spending all my mornings trying to rescue frogs out of my pool with a pole net. My pool company suggested I get these and I am so thankful I did. They are super quick and easy to assemble. All you do is quickly blow up the main area and add a few rocks to the Velcro pocket to keep it anchored on the pool deck and they are ready to rescue! Now I sit back and watch the frogs rescue themselves! My only regret is not getting these sooner!

I ordered two of these for my 16X40 pool. After the first day, they managed to save three very small toads. Since then, all they've done is act as a collection point for various bugs, cottony tree seeds, and blades of grass. The floating netting needs to sit entirely flush to the water. Instead, it is attached midway up the inflatable, causing a pocket to form underneath which forms a collection point for the aforementioned debris. Every morning I have to go out and clean off the stuff caught in the netting so it doesn't foul my water. On the plus side, it is possible that creatures such as mice, moles, chipmunks, squirrels, and baby rabbits (which I have fished out in the past) have indeed been rescued. But if these critter ramps do what they are meant to do, any critters will have safely exited the pool and I will never know!

I am so incredibly happy with this frog log it 100% works!! I was saving 6 plus frogs a day every day from my pool and as soon as I put these in my pool I’ve had ZERO frogs to save. Coincidence you might think but this morning I literally caught a frog using it to get out of the pool and climb to safety. I’m so happy to be saving my little frog friends so easily!
