Living under the Texas sun, these things really don't stand a chance. I have had to replace them every 12 - 18 months. But they work as advertised and since I started using them several years ago I have had no ded critters in my scuppers. Previously I had numerous frogs, toads, snakes, scorpions, etc. These do NOT include an inflation pump. I needed to Carefully use my air compressor, Very Carefully, to inflate these. Minus 1 for no pump, but plus one each for the rubberized bag which may last longer And for the reflector strips which may or may not attract critters But they hold their shape when bent keeping the pads closer to the edge of the pool. The attached photo shows what happens in the Texas sun to fabric bags - they get moldy and degrade in only 1 season.

If you’re an animal lover or you just don’t want to fish dead critters out of your skimmers, this is a must have item. These things work great and they're easy to setup. I recommend using small rocks to weigh them down instead of sand. If they get blown into the pool you don’t want to take a chance of getting sand in the water. Be warned that these things are not real durable. You probably won’t get more than one year out of them. Like anything made out of plastic, the sun will make them brittle over time. They’re not the best looking things either. They definitely won’t make your pool look better. Despite the cons, I’m giving this 5 stars. They keep animals from drowning in the pool and I, for one, don’t want to swim in dead animal water.

I guess ok however no frogs have used it! After having for a while now I just want to add that I still have no frogs, but that's ok. I did want to add though that these things do tend to collect a lot of debris. Some of the debris gets through the mesh and I have to remove the inflatable pillow and hose out the collected debris.

I cannot believe how well this works. Before putting these in our pool we would wake up to so many frogs in the pool. Some alive and struggling and some fatalities :-( Now when we go out and check the pool in the morning NOT A SINGLE FROG! I am positive they are still taking a dip in the pool at night but now they can safely find their way out and we live in harmony with them lol. I was wondering at first how the frogs would find this “ladder” in a huge pool - but evidently they do! 100% recommend this!

These Really Work! Pro Pool Animal Critter Escape Ramps are exactly what I needed for my pool. I was spending all my mornings trying to rescue frogs out of my pool with a pole net. My pool company suggested I get these and I am so thankful I did. They are super quick and easy to assemble. All you do is quickly blow up the main area and add a few rocks to the Velcro pocket to keep it anchored on the pool deck and they are ready to rescue! Now I sit back and watch the frogs rescue themselves! My only regret is not getting these sooner!

I live in Georgia, and my pool gets 8-10 hours of sun per day. When I bought these in July 2025, I sprayed them down with Scotchguard hoping it would help them to last. It did not. It is now end of March 2026 and they are falling apart and faded. They do work to help critters get out of the pool, but they don’t last. The pair I bought before these (different brand) lasted a few months longer.

an absolute must have for pool owners who share space with the toads/frogs. We are in summer number 2 of our dream pool, and it pretty quickly last summer that the toads are going to be an issue a quick Google search brought up this product inexpensive and it does exactly what it says. It’s going to do provides a way out for the frogs and they hop right out. I bought two more this year because our vacuum tore last year’s up. I tried to re-create it using floats and various other supplies like pool noodles. After a couple weeks, I just ordered these again. The only other thing I found that works is the pool vacuum hose but we don’t use a hosed vacuum anymore.
