Let me start by clarifying that I bought this hutch on sale for $119. I did not pay the $250 "regular price." So, when I say it's a great value, keep that in mind. At the price I paid, it is well worth the money. You cannot build this product for that price, unless perhaps you are a contractor who gets a steep discount. Now, price is covered; what about the product? If you read the reviews, you'll hear about the strong odor. That is because it's natural fir wood, closed up in a box. It is NOT an unpleasant odor, and if you let it air out for an hour, it's barely noticeable, even to your rabbit. This hutch has a small enclosure, perfect for the burrowing nature of bunnies. The wire bottom on the cage is made of very small wire, which is a plus. It's big enough for waste to fall through, but not big enough to hurt a grown rabbit's feet. My dwarf rabbit is a baby, so I had to cover part of it, to protect her feet. It's a simple fix, and when she is grown, it won't be an issue. The drawer that pulls out for easy cleaning is a HUGE plus, even though the plastic is thin. It serves its purpose nicely. The top locks up--some people say that it wears out, with time. I've only just bought it, but right now, it's functioning perfectly. I say, buy it knowing that it's a possibility, and don't stick your head in the hutch without taking precautions. The top locks down with a simple hook and eye mechanism. It's not overly strong, but the only things I know of that could work the latch (raccoons) aren't going to be strong enough/big enough to open the top. All in all, for what I paid for this hutch, I'm extremely happy. It's a perfect size, a good price, and the quality I expected. Now, if I had paid double the price, I would have thought it wasn't good enough. The quality of the wood and the hardware makes it a bargain at around $100. I've done dozens of searches, in stores and online. This is a really good price for this hutch, and you cannot get a better guarantee than Amazon's.

I ordered the small sized hutch and it is definitely too small for any sized bunny or rabbit to be fair to them unless they had another area to run or play. It was easy to assemble but I am anxious to see how long it will stay together as the wood is not heavy. It looks nice once put together. I plan to use it for several small button quail. I did reinforce it to make it stronger/safer as well.

So disappointing, Found the perfect cage but it’s poorly made. Put it together and lifted the top and the wood split. The wood is also warped. Now the messy return process.

For now, I'm giving this 2 stars. I searched long and hard for an affordable outdoor rabbit hutch for a single rabbit. At first, it seemed perfect although it is pretty small without a lot of room to maneuver, but I was overall happy with it. However, in the first month the wood where the top lid attaches split in half. Thanks to Amazon's policy, I ordered a replacement at no cost, but of course I will have to dismantle the broken hutch, cram it back in the box and drag it to UPS for return, and then we'll have to rebuild the new hutch. What a pain!!

We ordered this hutch for a stray bunny that wandered into our garden. Turns out it was a neighbors rabbit, but since my son fell in love with it, we promised him we would get him one when we had to return the bunny. The hutch got to our home a few days after the bunny left, and was very easy to assemble. It is amazingly well put together prior to the last steps of assembly and the instructions were easy enough for my 8 year old to understand. The product is beautifully crafted, with well sanded and oiled wood and all pieced fit together nicely. I loved that there is a pull out tray and support for that tray for easy clean up. The features of the hutch are ideal for the safe housing of 1 to 2 bunnies depending on their size(s). We are just waiting until after vacation to get one. As for my neighbors rabbit, well, they were not been able to keep it out of my garden, (its caused approx. $200 in damage), and unfortunately animal control in our area was forced to take the animal after it began attracting multiple rattle snakes to our neighborhood as it had been hopping about for a few months. Yikes. Keep your Bunnies safe folks!

I bought this and use it as a home base for my rabbit. He's 5 lbs and spends a lot of time in there, but I leave the door open because my house is rabbit proof. He can come in and out as he pleases - his food and litter box are kept outside of the hutch. He hangs out in there to sleep, or to hide when I have people over. This would be way too small if you are not able to keep the door open! Please don't do that to your rabbit. It was easy to put together, and I think it's pretty good looking.

I'm very impresssed with the quality of this cage! The wood has a very good finish and looks really nice. The size is great for our new Holland Lop bunny. I also really like the fact that it has a pull-out tray and a seperate compartment for her to sleep. The locks work well, the cage shipped on time, and it's a great price. However, I had to give it 4 stars because when we got it, we noticed that one of the pieces wasn't built right. The bar that the bottom of the cage is supposed to rest on, was way above where it was supposed to be, so when we put in the piece that seperates the nesting area, there was huge gaps everywhere. So, I had to wack of the bars and screw them into the proper place. If that hadn't happened, this most definetly would've gotten 5 stars. So overall, it's a great cage, I just wish ours wasn't made wrong.
