Bought this to replace our old Dyson we've had forever. Could not believe the difference in the suction and what we are picking up with this vacuum. Carpet feels new after using this just a few times. Love it!

    • The worst vacuum I have ever had.
Dyson has always been known to have high quality, expensive products. Decided to buy this upright vacuum for our carpet and hardwood floors. The suction power is powerful and it does hardwood well, but for any high pile carpet you need two people to push and pull. It also makes a lot of noise, squeaking and grinding and while it is their ball wheel design, it is not easy to navigate. It is a lot of plastic with buttons and levers and is far from the quality I would have expected. Buying from Amazon was a mistake since it comes from a 3rd party and in order to return you needed to have the original box and pay for return. I Definitely cannot recommend this and at $399 am surprised as a Prime member Amazon does not honor returns to them. Now, would I spend twice as much for Dyson’s “better” vacuum, not a chance. Oh, by the way, we have new wool carpeting and our carpeting installer said that Dyson is not recommended on wool carpets. ... show more

The hand-held attachments were a bit difficult at first, but then became so uncooperative, I have to replace the vacuum. I'm a cheap-o, so I hate to give in, but I can't get the hand-held tube back into place after using it. I'm currently using duct tape to hold it onto the vacuum while I use the upright function and shop for a new vacuum. :( ... show more

The item would stop working and they have instructions for when that happens what to do. But it kept doing it on the first time used. So I didn't want it. I don't have a hard time paying for something I don't want, but I do have a hard time paying for something that needs to go back because it doesn't work properly, and pay a restocking fee. It cost me 1/2 the cost of the product. So stay away from this. ... show more
