It is early October in Texas. The air is still warm enough that my neighbors give me funny looks for wearing a jacket in the morning. Winter is a distant concept. But I am a writer, and I like to work on my patio. I know the chill will eventually arrive, and I plan to be ready. I ordered this PowerScale Infrared Heater as a preemptive strike against the cold. The heater arrived in a compact box. It felt solid and well-made. I mounted it on the wall near my favorite writing chair, a simple process that took only a few minutes. I plugged it in, half-expecting the dramatic roar of a jet engine or at least the ominous red glow of a movie villain's secret weapon. I am a man who appreciates a little bit of spectacle with his appliances. I flipped the switch. Absolutely nothing happened. There was no sound. There was no light. For a second, I thought it was broken. I felt a pang of disappointment. Then, I felt the heat. It was a bizarre and wonderful feeling. A focused beam of warmth washed over me, as if someone had opened a door to a much sunnier, cozier dimension. I stepped out of its path and was back in the normal Texas air. I stepped back in, and there was the invisible blanket of heat again. While the weather hasn't demanded a full evening of use, my test was a huge success. This device creates a surprising amount of warmth, and it does it instantly and silently. It doesn't bother heating the air; it heats you directly. I am now looking forward to writing on my patio through the winter, armed with my personal, invisible sunbeam. This heater delivers quick and even warmth as soon as it is switched on. The infrared heat feels natural and spreads evenly, comfortably warming about a 10x15 patio area even on cooler evenings. I have typically run it for 2 to 3 hours each night, and the heat output stays steady the entire time. Even when the temperature dropped into the mid-40s, it kept the seating area comfortable without needing to sit directly under it. The slim design looks modern and mounts neatly on a wall or post, saving floor space. Installation was straightforward with clear instructions, and the included hardware felt sturdy. Once mounted, it locks in securely with no rattling or shifting. The angle can be adjusted slightly to direct heat where it is needed, which makes it more versatile for different setups. The remote control is responsive and makes it easy to adjust settings without getting up. Multiple heat levels give good flexibility depending on the weather, and the unit is nearly silent in operation. Compared to propane heaters we have used before, this one is quieter, sleeker, and more convenient since it never needs fuel refills. Looks good and looking forward to using it in our pergola area to cut down on the chill at night during the fall months. These heaters put out a lot of heat and make it a lot more comfortable outside which essentially extends the season for our area which is cool and rainy! These heaters are easy to install, durable, and are trusted in that they work well. This is our 2nd one and I recommend them. The heat feels radiant and extends to cover an area that enclosed a table for 14 people…it is warmest on the end where the heater is installed, obviously, but the heat does drift down and warm the whole area. It’s a good value for the money! This electric warmer for the outdoors has completely changed how I use my patio! This 1500W infrared heater checks all the boxes for what I wanted: it works well, is safe, and looks good. It heats up rapidly and evenly, making the air feel like sunshine instead of hot air. No smoke, no fire, just pure comfort! I like the remote control the most. I can easily choose between the four heat levels, and I can even set the 24-hour timer for when I know I'll only be outside for portion of the evening. It's great for BBQs on the weekend or talking late at night under the stars. The hanging arrangement saves floor space, and the fact that it is waterproof makes me feel better when the weather changes quickly.
