I have a large number of items to photograph for sale, many of which require overhead shots. After looking at a few different units, I decided on this one as it has an important, fundamental feature that other options have not adopted: it positions your phone *within* the light ring rather than in front of it. For all the models that position the phone lower than the light itself, all its going to do is cast an unwanted shadow of your phone on what you're trying to photograph. A pretty fundamental design flaw—but not with this model. It attaches quickly and easily to your table, and the flexible arms allow you to articulate the light and camera to virtually any position and angle you need. The light is bright and I love that you can change the color temperature from warm to cool, as well as adjust the brightness. And, of course, having a simple Bluetooth remote that you can easily pair to your phone's Camera app is a feature that all devices like this should offer. The last thing you want to do when you've carefully set up your camera for a series of shots is to have the whole rig shake by touching the phone itself to take a picture. The remote is key! I like that it is sturdy. It's well lit, puts your phone in the right spots, in fact the only downside to using this is that the piece that holds your phone covers the screen view so you will have difficulty point focusing on objects. If you broadcast to a screen, this isn't an issue. It's almost like the lights are on the wrong side of the mount, and you cannot remove the mount to flip it around. ... show more

I ordered this to shoot a cooking video by myself. I’m surprised that for the price, the quality is good and it really delivers the flexibility that I need and more. There is a little bit of assembly needed but it was so easy. I liked that I can easily put it up on a table, in the countertop, anywhere and it’s sturdy and stable once in place. It’s easy to use with my iphone to shoot the overhead videos that I need. The ring light is bright enough for my needs. Excellent stability, durability, and the right kind of light when my studio doesn't have enough natural light. I use it to show off my creations with pictures and video. I love the clamp for the desk the most. All of it is solid metal except the light and phone fixture. It tightens as well as my tripod though I haven't tried it with my Nikon yet. It works very well with my iphone14, a big phone. I don't use the remote control but i use the switch on the cord, which can change the lighting's temp and brightness. This was my third filming with this product. In addition to being incredibly difficult to assemble, the piece that holds the phone in place, just fell apart in my hands today as I tried placing the phone in. Very disappointing. When I tried working with Amazon to help me, because it was bought in Sept and today is November, it is no longer warrantied, my fault on this. But the product is not worth the $. ... show more
