I picked up the Power Adapter and Adhesive Doorbell Mount for my Blink Video Doorbell, and overall, I'm quite pleased with the setup. The 5V doorbell transformer and the generous 18ft weatherproof cable are definite highlights, allowing for a continuous power supply without relying on batteries, which was my main goal. Installation was surprisingly straightforward. The adhesive mount held strong on my doorframe, and routing the cable was easy enough thanks to its ample length. It's a huge relief not having to worry about battery life, especially during colder months. The continuous power means my doorbell is always ready to go, and I've noticed a more consistent performance from the camera as well. The build quality of both the power adapter and the cable feels robust and durable, living up to the "weatherproof" claim. It's been through a few rain showers already with no issues. My only minor quibble, and what keeps it from a perfect 5-star rating, is that while the adhesive mount is convenient, I do wonder about its long-term reusability or if I ever needed to reposition it. Also, while the cable is long, depending on your outlet placement, you might still need to get creative with cable management to keep it tidy. That said, if you're looking to ditch the batteries for your Blink Video Doorbell and want a reliable, continuously powered solution, this adapter and mount combo is an excellent choice. Well it does what it is supposed to do, however the power chord is out in the open so anyone can just unplug it which will disrupt the power obviously. The installation was easy just like the regular mount that comes with the Blink Doorbell. Overall I don’t feel like the design is up to par and will be switching back to the original mounting bracket.

The media could not be loaded. This is such a great value, for about the same price as the expensive replacement batteries you can just plug it in! I leave my farm for about 5 months of the year so having a reliable camera system in place is critical for me. I got Blink cameras last year on prime day and for the most part have been happy with them but I have had one camera battery die on me. I wanted to wire as many of the ones on the house as possible so was extatic to find this kit. It is about the same quality construction as the original shroud. The doorbell fits in perfectly but there is a minor obstruction at the top of the image due to the hood of this shroud being slightly longer, it's not a critical viewing area for me though. It was easy to install with the screws going right into the holes of the old shroud. I also appreciated the included wire maintenance clips as they made it all pretty seamless. The doorbell started working as soon as it was plugged in without any fuss and has worked consistently since. The low battery sign is on in the app but obviously that's irrelevant since it's wired now. Overall super happy to know that this will only go out during power outages which takes the whole system down till the generator kicks back on anyway.

I’m most excited that I no longer have to recharge or replace batteries—this was becoming a real hassle. Then BAM—this little beauty popped up on my screen, and it solved the problem instantly. The power adapter with the 18ft weatherproof cable works perfectly with my Blink doorbell and provides a constant power supply. Installation was simple, the adhesive mount held strong, and everything has been running smoothly since. No more worrying about dead batteries or missed alerts. If you’re tired of the battery game, this is a must-have upgrade! FYI - This was an easy install for us, as our power source was right on the other side of the door and another power supply on the side of the door - so we were lucky - think this through before buying.

Great product, the quality is very well made. It does have to be connected to light. There is no option to just use the cover. Batteries do you have be removed from the doorbell in order for the case to close.

This is a good external power supply however I see some drawbacks: The USB cable is exposed to the elements. The orientation should keep the water out, but if there's any slack in the cable, a bad guy or jokester could just unplug it on you, killing your camera feed. You will most likely capture them on camera doing it, so I guess there's that. I'd have preferred more protection be given around the connector. Then there's the plastic it's made of: it's not heavy. I also don't know how resistant against the UV from the Texas sun it is. Fortunately, our front door only gets morning sun, so it's not direct sun from the high sky. I don't expect it to last forever, as so much in this life doesn't. It does serve the battery saving function but it won't last through a power outage, since you don't have any batteries installed. It also does not permit connecting the doorbell wires up to the unit, so your doorbell inside won't ring unless you do something extra.

This doorbell kit is great. I just ended up not needing it because my Blink camera came with two mounts. This one probably protects it better, but I just don't need it like I thought I did. I did try it out though and it appears to be easy to install, function well, fit well, and be durable. I will hang onto it in case my other one breaks or if I put one on a different door. The price was good and the fact that you can plug it in helps to keep from replacing batteries.
