It's a very lightweight piece of equipment, and may be a bit tall for some setups. Trying to sit forward at my desk with it and use my computer isn't very comfortable since my desk isn't that tall, but leaning back while using it gives me enough space to stretch my legs out a bit more. Assembly was easy. Doesn't fit a US women's size 8 shoe, so I just use it with socks. I couldn't use it for anything I would consider a workout, as a mostly sedentary but otherwise healthy 30 year old. I don't use the tension knob because increasing the tension makes it pedal much less smoothly and makes it creak a bit. Pedaling vigorously is also out - again, it's very light, I can easily sway it from side to side if I apply too much force. But it works as a way to get some light better-than-nothing movement in while watching TV, which is all I really expected for the price. ... show more

This is an inexpensive way to keep up with your rehab post knee surgery. It’s not as aggressive as a stationary bike will be, but keeps you flexing and extending your knee - lean in to get a deeper flex, lean away to get a longer extension. Only criticism is they could give some non skid pads to attach to the feet because this will slide every which way. Was not so useful for my intended purpose- exercise at my desk at work. Honestly I wasn't thinking this through... my knees hit the bottom of my desk. Also, my desk chair kept rolling away from it. The good: It is affordable, easy to fold, easy to use/adjust, and lightweight for easy travel. The equipment itself showed no signs of any defects. The bad: As a middle-aged office worker I was not able to adjust the tension enough for it to do any good for my legs. I tightened down the adjustment knob pretty dang tight. I walk a lot, but I'm not exactly that fit (the reason I wanted to use this at work). It just wouldn't tighten down enough so my legs could get any real exercise. Also, it is so small I felt like I was using a toddler bicycle. Worked better for my arms, which are sadly out of shape. I think this would work better for someone who is elderly or doing rehab, but not so useful for exercising at work/at a desk for a regular Joe. ... show more

Not the sturdiest of pieces of equipment. I had hoped to use it under my desk while working. The range of motion needed to do this under my desk didn't work as my knees hit the desk while pedaling. It isn't super sturdy, but it's not meant to be a marathon quality piece of equipment. It did have a slight squeak when using it forward, but going backwards it was fine. This is a basic, low cost version of a foot pedal exercise device. It does the job. The only problem that is actually a huge part of the device is the pedal foot straps are not big enough or adjustable. They are a fixed size plastic strap. I wear a woman's size 8 shoe, and I could not get my sneaker inside the strap. The solution is to simply use the other side of the pedal. My feet stayed on the pedals without the straps.
