  • Temporary shelter
Our chickens need a safe place to go in the yard until fully grown. The netting does not really fit properly and I fear the zippers won’t last but it is a good, portable, moving safe space.

  • Outdoor Chicken Run.
So far so good with this chicken run. Super easy to put together thanks to the video under the production information online. My chicks will be integrated into my original flock of chickens soon.

  • Good product
I got this to be a makeshift chicken hospital for some rescue chickens. They have to be quarantined for about a month before they can go with my chickens and it will be during some of the cold months so it will be in my basement. I had a small cheap Amazon coop I had gotten originally for this purpose, but it was too damn hard to clean because it was heavy and you couldn’t get to the entire bottom level very easily. So after looking around I thought I’d try this. It is very light, but sturdy enough. I put an adult size hybrid bike behind and in front of it to show the size. It’s quite roomy and the zippers will make it easy to access the inside and I could easily lift the whole thing up to clean out the bedding if I needed to. I’m a little nervous about repeatedly going in through the zippered part because the zipper seems weak as if it could easily break if pulled just the wrong way or too hard. The top tie downs are not sewn on properly, but I was able to feed it through the mesh close to the seam so I was able to secure it to the frame. Considering the cost and what I needed it for, I think it’s pretty good overall. ... show more

  • Keeping my chickens happy
I like it but can't put very many chickens in at a time. I don't like the stakes. They aren't long enough and the wind blows and I've lost all but one

  • Makes a wonderful super-sized butterfly habitat for kids
I was going to return this because it had an 8-inch tear in the seam that we didn't notice until it was fully assembled. However, my 9yo and her friend turned it into an amazing butterfly and moth habitat! They spent hours chasing and netting butterflies, and created a fabulous butterfly habitat inside for them. It was very educational as well, as they had to repeatedly Google info. on what to provide their butterflies (sugar water, flowers, perches, etc.). I did insist she release them the next day, but i have no doubt that this will occupy them most weekends. As for it's intended purpose, we raised two chickens from hatch day to 9 weeks old, and we used this as a run for them to get them out of their brooder some until they were grown enough to introduce them to their forever home (a neighbor's chicken coop). It worked well for this purpose. We thought we could later use it for our guinea pigs to get some time outside as well, but a metal one would be much safer as this isn't designed to be secure at the ground level. You would have to add a lot more pegs to fill in gaps, or just watch them carefully so they don't crawl under and nothing crawls in. ... show more

  • Good over all
I bought this for my baby ducklings .it is pretty sturdy over all but needs a bit of work on a bottom of it.stackes it comes with do not stay and have big gaps between them and animals definitely could escape or other animals can easily get inside.we had metal bars ,pretty heavy bars that we put on top of the edge of the green net to keep it flat and prevent animal to escape from it.we used it for butterfly garden as well.i also plan to use it over my veggie garden to prevent bugs get in. ... show more

  • Chickens need more than a mesh tent
I purchased this to have a temporary set up to add new pallets to my backyard flock. Pros. The metal frame is sturdy and simple to assemble. The two zippered openings are large and convenient to use. Cons. There is no way to attach the netting that is built in to the design. There were tabs at the top but they were sewn in such a way that one side was on the inside of the netting and the other side was on the outside of the netting. I had to literally sew the netting to the frame to insure that the chickens wouldn’t get out or something wouldn’t get in. the design could have easily been fixed by adding usable tabs all around the bottom. That being said it is working for me and when I’m done I’ll be able to take apart and store til needed again. ... show more

  • Chickens CAN get out.
We purchased this for our pullets to start transitioning to outdoors while we built our coop. The pullets CAN get out of this even when staked down. We had an unfortunate death of one chicken when it escaped and our dog got out at the same time. It happened as I went inside one door and out the garage... a quick but sad few moments and unfortunately I didn't know a chick had escaped or that the kids had let the dogs outside. Just be aware that although a great enclosure that pullets can escape out of the bottom even when staked down. ... show more
