Keeps my pool algae-free year round. I use this in my above ground pool and after YEARS of battling algae I finally drained my pool and started fresh with POOL RX. It is so easy to use and so much less expensive than the gallons of chemicals and bags of shock I was constantly adding to try to keep my water clear. I did try to use it on my pool that already had algae and it didn’t work. However, once I drained it and started fresh, it worked like a champ. I just replace or refresh the Pool RX every 6 months and float chlorine tabs and that is IT. I no longer need any other chemicals.

Pool RX is amazing! It made quick work of 2 pools that had mustard/ yellow algae!! It has made my life so much easier and I highly recommend! Keep testing your water and doing routine cleaning and you should be golden!! Happy Relaxing by your pool and not scrubbing!!

Let me first tell you that I live in central florida and have struggled with cloudy water and algae since owning this pool 9 months ago due to the warm weather. I’ve spent hours at the local pool store and a ridiculous amount of money on pool supplies doing what the pool store professionals tell me to do including shocking it each week, cleaning the pool filter twice per week, and adding an algaecide each week. There was algae on the ladder that would not come off no matter what we scrubbed it with. So, I turned to the Amazon shopping professionals, scoured over reviews and photos and decided on this Pool Rx+. I applied the product exactly like the package said. The next day, my pool looked beautiful! 6 weeks now of putting nothing but chlorine in it: the other chemical levels are perfect, the pool has never looked this fabulous and the algae on the ladder is GONE! Thank you my Amazon professional shopping buddies, I always look to you for great reviews and you didn’t steer me wrong! If you are having this algae problem…just buy this, you will be happy you did! CONS: the product was clumped into a brick instead of powder, but I took a screw driver and a hammer to break it up before adding it to the basket. Now, I would usually take off a star for this, but copious amounts of time, money, and stress were saved, so they are getting that star back!! You will not regret this product and I have been recommending it to everyone I know with a pool!

I purchase the first one and it was a solid wet piece. I exchanged it for a new one and the 2nd one was even worst! A bunch of wet balls. So disappointed, because I just opened my pool and I was ready to add this to the pool. I used the actual Pool RX Cartridge last year and it worked great, however I only used it for a month so I thought I could add the booster but after all this hassle I think I’ll stick to buying the cartridges.

I was fighting mustard algae in my pool bought this and IT WORKS if you are fighting algae get this it is so easy to use and works great at getting rid of algae
