It does its job. It floats. It holds 3” tablets. It has adjustable slots to dispense the chlorine. 4 stars instead of 5 only because I found several others after I bought this that for all purposes are exactly the same and cost less.

Picked this up to replace another of a different brand but similar overall construction that had begun to fall apart. Regarding the failure of my old one — I don’t think it was due to UV/sun damage that the old one failed, but rather it seemed to be the chlorine itself that caused it to fail, based on the areas that became brittle and started cracking and falling apart. As such, I will be very interested to see how well this one holds up not just to UV but also to the apparent corrosive degradation potential of the chlorine tablets it is intended to hold. I will plan to come back and update this review if it ends up failing before a two year period. Honestly I’d like to see it last longer than that, but that’s about how long my last one survived, so that’s my bare minimum expectation. ... show more
