Not a good design. Hard to fit on the jet opening. It isn’t tall enough for the spout to be above the water so what water does it’s not moving much water through the top spout. The piece that hooks to the jet needs to be longer. It was so close to the top rail that the water was splashing out of the pool and onto the ground. This thing was expensive as crap for it not to work as advertised.

I bought a refurbished one for 1/2 the price on Amazon and for that price it is a great product. I saw people complaining about the threads. It is a different system for the side attachments. You have to push down, click into place and then start to turn - it works just fine. The pipe appears to be hard plastic and not the softer PVC pipe that I know of, but maybe PVC includes hard plastic too. I don't think it increases my flow by 10, not even by 5, but it does have flow. The fountain works just like the video pictured. If you are looking for something that shoots 20 feet into the air - THIS IS NOT IT. But if you want some movement, some nice water noise and no one is going to be playing under this -then it is great. I saw a lot of negative reviews and it seem mostly by people that didn't take the time to check their fittings, but no matter what you have at home, you can buy parts at a pool store to get this thing attached to your water outlet. I went to their main website - and they need to make that thing functional, it's really not professional. But over all - it works, it works right, it took me 10 minutes to install it and that's about it.

Last summer I purchased a different fountain that some kids broke. I figured I would get the same one but saw this one and I am so glad I got it instead. I really prefer the way the fountain sprays water over the other types. I feel that the larger droplets will help to reduce evaporation, not that it has been an issue though. I run my pool pump at night and with the fountain spraying in the cooler air, it helps to cool off the pool water temp by several degrees. I think it will be fun to run the fountain while using the pool as well. The addition of the extension with the holes helps to make up for losing a jet for the fountain. The holes help with circulation of the water in the pool. It was so easy to install as well. Much easier than the other one and it feels much sturdier. Not enough for kids to be hanging off of, but now I know to mention it to them before they get into the pool.

I bought two of these for my inground pool, one for the inlet on each side. They increased circulation and the kids loved the fountain. But at the end of the season the plastic crumbled and into the trash they went. They were fun while they lasted but really overpriced for some tubes of cheap plastic.

I bought one for my brother as we have totally enjoyed ours. It makes the traditional above ground pool more exciting and to young children it gives them a "water park" feel. As a bonus, it creates a slight whirlpool which makes vacuuming much easier as all the debris makes its way closer to the center. We also shine multi colored lights from the deck towards the fountain and it really illuminates wonderfully. This product is well worth the money. Easy to assemble and easy to install. Well made and it has a really solid feel to it. In other words, it is not a flimsy plastic piece of garbage that will break during installation like some items that companies sell. I was really excited for this. However it has not lived up to my hopes. The first red flag was how poor the threads are on this thin plastic flow and fountain. After install it was good except for if it was bumped it would pop off the fitting unless you really crank it down. If you use a solar cover you need to remove the fountain part as it has no way of turning it off. The last problem I just found, after twisting the flow reducer to give me more water circulation without the fountain installed, now that I put the fountain back on the flow control ring is stuck in place. I would not recommend this to anybody for the fountain feature, but the water flow is nice.

Product was super easy to install and circulates our pool great with the added fun of a little waterfall action. We even turned it on overnight to bring the temp of our pool down once it got too warm. The light is easy to put on and has many different colors. You can also adjust the distance the water streams into the pool by simply adjusting the valve manually. Great product!
