The design is straightforward—just load it with chlorine tablets, set the adjustable release, and let it do the work. I like that the dial lets me fine-tune how much chlorine is released, which helps avoid that strong chemical smell or, on the flip side, water that feels under-treated. The size is generous and holds enough tablets that I don’t have to check it constantly, which is a real convenience. It feels sturdy and well-made, not thin plastic that will crack after a few uses. It floats evenly without tipping, so the chlorine disperses consistently. One thing to keep in mind is that you do need to adjust the vent depending on your pool’s size and how hot the weather is—if left too closed, the chlorine release can be slow, and too open may use up tablets faster than expected. Also, like most floaters, it can drift to one side of the pool and hang out there, but that hasn’t been a big issue since the water still circulates well. I bought 4 of these; they're inexpensive and reliable but NOT durable in the Texas sun. My prior purchase did not last a year in the pool. I expected too much from them so I bought several with the expectation they'll last 6 to 8 months.

Have had it for a few months now and it's holding up well under the sun. Easy to adjust it but removed one star due to the lid, it's a bit difficult to put back on, maybe it was just my unit with this issue. Overall excellent for the price!

It’s sturdy, floats well, and is easy to open and adjust. What really stands out is how well it holds up through our extremely hot Arizona summers—the plastic hasn’t faded or become brittle from constant sun exposure. It holds plenty of chlorine, so we don’t have to refill it as often, and it’s been very reliable for maintaining our pool.

Yay! It works for the hot tub. It has a very low profile and really just goes around the hot tub very easily. I'm glad I made this purchase. I highly recommend it even for a pool. Get it! We use it for a hot tub that we use every night even though it's 22° outside. But thank you for your product. It did work as far as the profile and the lid being on top of the hot tub
