  • Finally!
Item Shape: Centennial
I got a vacuum that ran by itself using water pressure and a huge hose. Kept getting stuck. Such a pain. Got a manual leaf catcher. Awkward and time consuming, but got leaves. Not sand or algae or any fine particles. Used once and have never looked at it again. Got a good wide brush head vacuum. Cheap plastic broke in different spots until it was unusable. Worked well until it didn’t. Dead within 3 months. Can’t afford the robot yet so I tried this one. First use today. Finally found what I was looking for. Easy to clean and put back together. Easy and light weight. (Bit of an issue there because the base takes effort to keep on the floor the deeper the water is.) No more lugging around the ginormous hose! 🥳 Battery operated. (No chance of electrocution. ⚡️) Pole is a surprisingly nice sturdy strength. Unfortunately, it’s only good for my shallow end. The holes align with my poles so I can interchange them. Cleans great!! Having the ability to suck up big leaves AND small particles (sand, dirt, bugs, algae). The filter inside catches most of the little stuff, but not all. I could see some being put back in the water. Longevity- to be determined I love it. I wish they made a professional version made with materials that will last 5 to 10 years. I have a feeling that even with the utmost care, it won’t last years. 😕 Overall I recommend this over the other crap out there. I can’t compare with a robot, but this is an affordable option I would say to give it a shot before investing in a robot. But! This is use one. Who knows how things progress from here… I will update after a few more uses or of flaws discovered ... show more

  • Works great for small jobs.
Item Shape: Centennial
I was really impressed how the Pool Blaster could suck up huge amounts of sand, leaves and algae in our pool that went to crap when a 2 day skimmer replacement turned into 5 weeks. Really didn't miss a thing. The only downside is the filter has to be cleaned more often then expected, but in all fairness, our 10k gal pool was in really bad shape. Seeing it was going to take more time than I wanted to spend to recover the pool, I decided to get an Aiper Seagull Pro which wound up doing 95% of the cleanup. The Aiper is an excellent pool cleaner even on our kidney shaped pool with irregular entry steps. Highly recommend it. I then used the Pool Blaster for spot cleaning the other 5%. Great tool and probably fine for regular maintenance but don't think I would use it for a big job. ... show more

  • Not likely to be adequate for large ponds with much debris
Item Shape: Centennial
The product is a better than the one I had bought 4-5 years ago but if you have a large pond (mine is about 19x15 feet with lots of muck at the bottom), be prepare to spend about two minutes of cleaning the unit for every 30-45 seconds of vacuuming. The container is much too small for my job and got filled with debris within 30-40 seconds of starting it. I am not sure that the more expensive and larger version of this unit will serve my needs but it does work well and at my current rate (ratio) of cleaning to vacuuming, I estimate that it will take me about three weeks to "clean" my pond. After that initial pass it might only take a week :) I should also mention that the latching mechanism was not redesigned and after about two to three years I could no longer use the old unit because the latching mechanism of the container broke but still, not bad for the price. ... show more

  • Excellent Product
Item Shape: Centennial
This product is incredible. If you're looking for an affordable version of a pool vacuum that doesn't use your skimmer or filter, look no further. This product is easy to put together and use. It is sturdy material too. All you have to do is clean the filter and assembly once done and you're good. No loss of suction and it will get fine dirt particles with ease. Be sure to use the included PVC telescopic assembly so that it isn't metal on metal when you hook it up to a telescoping pool pole (if using say for an inground pool. They were smart to include as PVC instead of a few sheet metal telescopic pieces. The PVC is a bit smaller in diameter than a traditional metal pool pole, but it does fit and won't come loose. It may wiggle a tad with the extra long length, but doesnt affect ability to move. I may find a piece of thin rubber to bridge the connection between the PVC and metal telescoping pieces to form a more rigid uniform bond between the two, but otherwise a fantastic product. ... show more

  • Met my needs, did a thorough vac job
Item Shape: Centennial
This unit would NOT be rugged enough to replace vacuuming thru the filter for my 30 x15 above ground pool regularly, but it did EXACTLY what I bought it for - final vac of the season before closing, when the pool level is too low for filter vacuuming. It was easy to set up, easy to use, and did a VERY thorough job - picked up way more debris than I even realized was there! As others have said, not super rugged so not sure about longevity, but since I expected that based on other reviews, I’m giving it 5 stars for doing a high quality job on exactly what I bought for. May prove useful in cleaning hot tub as well, will have to give that a try sometime. ... show more

  • Great little pool vacuum!
Item Shape: Centennial
Previously bought a much more expensive pool robot. It broke after one use. So, I thought let’s try this as the reviews looked good. Our pool has a screen enclosure so leaves and sticks are rare, but with rains we do get lots of small debris. This little unit worked like a champ. First, I wisely used a “real” aluminum pole. The unit is light enough to move around yet heavy enough to stay on the bottom and gently scrub at algae. Also, the motor is powerful enough to suck it all up plus get all the sand and tiny gravel that accumulates. You can see in the picture the results. Easy to clean and charge, too. Clever pool vac that I’m hoping gives many seasons of cleaning. And the battery ran fine and strong for a 20,000 gallon pool. ... show more
