    • Decent Build, But Too Much Hassle to Set Up Properly

I sell stickers on Etsy and wanted a thermal printer to simplify my shipping process—especially one that doesn’t require ink. This seemed like a great addition to my shop. Quality: The build quality of the machine is solid, and it feels like it’s made to last, so no complaints there. It also comes with a stack of shipping labels, which is a nice bonus, and calibration was straightforward. However, this is a wired printer and can only connect via Bluetooth when using a phone. That’s a bit inconvenient for me since I primarily print from my PC through Etsy, meaning it has to stay near my computer at all times. When printing from my phone, it took me six labels to get the right clarity and quality for Etsy shipping labels. I tried their app, but it was buggy—resizing PDF labels was a nightmare because it kept cutting off the edges, forcing me to shrink the label so much that it became tiny. The prints also started out blurry, to the point where the QR codes weren’t even scannable. I had to adjust the density settings multiple times to get it just right, and I noticed other reviewers had similar struggles. Once you get the setting right, it works as intended, but it took me over an hour to finally get one shipping label out, so was the time worth it? From the PC it seemed easier than the app. You install the driver on the thumbstick that ships with the device (should be with your manuals), follow the steps in the manual to set up and it's just as easy as printing to any other printer. It should show up in your system dialogue when you go to print. Just make sure you select the right printing option from Etsy and your printer to make sure it prints as the right size. I found that density 1 prints clear without the blur. Price: For the price, you can find a fully wireless option. However, if this one is on sale, it does the basics—but with some effort. Overall: If you’re looking for a plug-and-play experience, this isn’t it. Once you know the settings you'll be set to print from there, but you do have to spend time dialing it in, so it's up to you as to whether or not you want to deal with it. Pros: ✅ Solid build quality ✅ Comes with shipping labels ✅ Easy to calibrate Cons: ❌ Wired for PC use, Bluetooth only for phone ❌ Takes a lot of trial and error to get good print quality ❌ Buggy app with frustrating label resizing issues ❌ Other printers at this price offer full wireless functionality TL;DR: The build is good, but getting quality prints takes time to tweak. If you want a hassle-free thermal printer, this might not be the best choice. ... show more

Very simple to use, and to set up, I love being able to print labels for shipments from my phone using Bluetooth ! Oh and I printed a bunch of labels for all my storage boxes in the basement! I didnt connect using my oc, but using phone is great!!

I like the small size and weight of the printer. It is easy to put in a laptop case etc. It came with everything I needed to start up including several 4 x 6 labels, cords, a USB with the drivers and a USB to usb-c converter. It was very easy to set up on my phone. I downloaded the labelnize software and it connected to the printer right away. The labels are very easy to load. I did not have a shipping type lable to print so I printed a line drawing and a photograph both of which I was very happy with. They both printed within seconds. I did try to print from my computer with the usb cable but couldnt get it set up but the phone to printer setup was easy. This is a nice printer for the money. ... show more

I have a couple businesses where labels of various sizes are a huge time saver and/or essential. I tested the smaller Polano printer and it worked great. Then I bought this larger one to address shipping needs. Connecting through my phone using the app and connecting has been painless and convenient when I need to print something. This will help our mobile business print needed labels on site the first visit instead of needing to go back to the office first. My only complaint is that it's not obvious which way to tear off the label when it's printed. I've pulled the wrong way and had to refeed the labels afterwards more than once. Also would love it to have a rechargeable battery like the smaller printer. ... show more
