The assembly instructions are useless. You need to mount the holder to the Ram body before mounting to the frame. Before mounting to the frame, you need to attach the Piston head. The piston is powder coated and may need to have the threads chased before or else you will never get the piston head on or cross thread. If you don't have a thread tapper of the same size. you could file a slit into the tip of the piston rod to make it self tapping or clearing. The base of the piston rod is 17mm, to hold while treading the piston head on. You need to mount the switch to the frame first but if you don't have the mounting screws you are SOL. I was was missing the mounting screws for the valve switch body to the frame. I measured them to be M4/0.70x35mm. Also the blue air line is a bit short by at least 1cm. It's a tight stretch, but luckily I had some 1/4" poly tubing handy. All I can say is Quality Control could have been better before it left the factory.

Operates better than described! It will crush aluminum bottles with ease, but you need to modify (drill or cut) a hole in the end plate for the bottle neck to stick out.

Very well made and easy to operate. Did have to swap the air fitting for a direct hook up to my 1/4" npt air hose. Once I got it assembled I was on my way to crushing several hundred cans in short order. It does better if the cans aren't dented, but if they are you can use something like a screwdriver to hold the can down so that it crushes and then the screwdriver slides right out.

If I am honest this was a impulse purchase for my shop. When I put it together and started to use it I have to say there is something fun about it that I cant describe. My daughter and I went through two big bags of cans with no issue giggling the whole time. If you should buy it or not really is up to you....but for some reason really fun.

Really like this can crusher. Only downside is that It uses a LOT of air. I am going to mod this and take care if that though. It uses the same volume of air to raise as it does lower. I am going to cap off one of the outlets and add a return spring. I only have a 2-5 gal tank on my compressor and I can crush about 10 cans before the pressure is too low. With the compressor on, after the second can it runs non stop.
