I have been playing pickleball for 2 yrs with the same cheap paddle. I noticed how everyone was progressing in their skills, but I couldn’t due to my paddle. I researched and found this paddle for an upgrade. I waited for it to go on sale. It has been a literal game changer with its pop and face grit. The handle is longer than my old paddle so I can now hold both hands on the handle to swing backhand, and that alleviates stress on my dominant shoulder, and it has a longer reach. I’m so impressed with this paddle. I didn’t know how much better I could play, and not work so hard on my body by upgrading my paddle. The weight is perfect too. I’ve compared it to my friends’ more expensive paddles and it is definitely a contender in comparison. I recommend this paddle to anyone who has worn out their beginner paddles or their shoulder and wrist (by having to work so hard). I’m a more aggressive player—I hit hard, drive the ball, and put a lot of pace on my serves. I was hoping this paddle would become my new budget-friendly go-to option, but after only about three weeks of use, it seems like the core is failing. The sound when making contact has completely changed. It no longer has that solid, crisp feel it had when new. Instead, it almost sounds like squeezing a plastic bottle, as if the core or sweet spot has broken down internally. Because of that, I’ve lost a noticeable amount of power and consistency.
