I first found this dye when traveling abroad and was so happy to see that it finally came to the states. It’s one of the few I’ve tried that makes the hair so soft, silky, shiny and luxurious while covering all my stiff and resistant greys. The formula is really creamy and thick, making it easy to apply and massage around even to the back of the head without any dripping. I’m able to do some light chores while waiting and love that it develops in only 30 minutes. They’re also really generous with the after-care mask, not some small packet. I love everything about it! Only con is that the coloring system is confusing. I am Chinese and use Light Brown and it’s the perfect shade between a super deep brown/very soft black that makes the hair look totally natural. This hair color covered gray for about 6 weeks, better than other products I used (about 4 weeks). There is a small amount of hair color in the package, I have short hair, barely enough. For people who have longer hair, you need two boxes. The color did not fade after multiple washes.

I was excited to try this. I have been allergic to PPD for forever. I got it, checked the page again to make sure no PPD. About an hour after I used it, my head began to itch like crazy. 2 hours later, red bumps itching and burning. I washed my hair 3 more times using a clarifying shampoo. Pulled the directions out of the garbage and read every little line. And right there in the ingredients it says phenylenediamine. How is this. When the box and website say PPD free. ... show more

I used this product for the first time September 26. I ordered 5.3 Light Golden Brown and loved the color. Today, a month later I colored my hair again with the same color; however, my hair color turned out a very dark brown. My girlfriend and I (a retired hairdresser) applied the solution as directed and use the same time period for saturation. I’m a paying customer so I won’t hold back. 1 product is truly ORDERLESS 2. NO hair-lose after rinsing out like other brands I’ve tried. 3. I almost gave it a 4 stars because the color is darker. The dark brown is a soft black 4. Leaves hair soft and very shiny. Last best home color I’ve tried

For me this is the third time buying hair dye lasts about exactly a little over a month granted I have a lot of white and grey hairs that have started peeking thru on parts of my hair. So to me I think this is going to be a never ending box dye job thing and I’m ok with it. Why? Because I have semi dark skin (Hispanic) and don’t like the way lighter hair looks on me personally way too expensive to upkeep. Spending $20 a month or every other month for me is do-able and not only that this hair dye doesn’t smell like ammonia and my curly hair doesn’t feel dried out at all after I dye it which is huge!!! I think if you’re going after you’re natural hair color match this dye is great but I can’t speak for coverage if you’re blond per say and doing a brown or a golden red shade how it would turn out. ... show more
