After buying a cheap lock that the batteries got so hot I got burned getting them out. I am extremely happy with this lock. If you been a mechanic for 40 yrs you can just tell when something is a solid well made piece of equipment. Installed in minutes in my old dead bolt programming with my fat fingers was a little bit fun. But the voice prompts helped. With loves it and so do I!!! Well done!!     • Locking does not work smoothly

The media could not be loaded. Disappointed. I am returning the product. The locking doesn’t work smoothly. Pressing and holding any key for 2 seconds should lock the door. LCD touchscreen is not sensitive enough. It does not read the touch. Even when it does, sometimes it does not take that input to lock. See video. In some cases, the lock failed to understand its locking status. It would think it is locked when it was not. Because I knew it was unlocked, I would press and hold a key to lock. But because it considered itself locked, it did not move and said ‘verification failed’. Installation was easy. Design was appealing. Unlocking worked fine with fingerprint. Installation: the manual says there are these two little slider buttons on the interior side which need to slide up while simultaneously attaching to the mounting plate and then sliding them down onto two little metal tabs. That is misleading. I thought I need to hook up the sliders with the mounting plate. I tried many times and was unable to do that. Later I gave up and simply fixed that to the plate. That was it! So simply. The Autolock: this is a great feature because my kids always forget to lock it. However, it sometimes failed to auto lock it. It kept trying and sent an alarming sound eventually. That is scary! Functioning: sometimes it failed to unlock and sometime it failed to lock. When it works, this is a great smart lock, but there are just too many hiccups. Installed this on my garage service door and it works great, it was pretty easy to install and also easy to program your code. There are lights and an audible noise that assures you that you programmed the code in correctly or incorrectly and also informs you that the door is locked or not locked. This is battery operated, there is a USB C port on the outside half of the lock where you can plug it in to charge the battery up so you are able to get in if it dies on you which is a great feature since there are no physical keys that came with this. I also like the ability to set multiple codes that way my fiancé can have her own code to enter the garage. ... show more

The first red flag should have been me being able to hear the pieces jingle around in the box before I even opened it! The face is scratched… none of the components were packaged, it’s clearly a USED door lock. I decided to install anyway, and it does not work!
