I am a review reader … then if I purchase an item .. I scratch my head with people’s inaccurate reviews. 1. It is very well made the stand is sturdy it did not require using a screw driver the 2 pieces fit together. It has little grip tabs to place on the bottom of the stand to make it secure not wobbly and won’t slide about . 2. The glass container is thick heavy glass NOT thin.I was actually shocked at the heaviness of the glass. 3. The booklet is very detailed and very easy to follow (some one said it wasn’t ) it has written words AND pictures to follow … with a lot of info about how to figure how often to change the filter. 4. The filter is easy to use and easy to put in the container that holds the water to filter in. 5. The bamboo lid may be a maybe / maybe not a tad off but I really think it is fine and covers the water tank easily not worried about anything getting in the water . 6. The water filters through really quick. THE TASTE:*The water is almost silky to the taste and the way it feels in your mouth it’s almost weird feeling but not in a bad way! Lol No after taste .. the water just taste plan good ! THE ONE DOWN SIDE: * I will say I had the same issue with leaking I read where some one turned the spout 360’ a few times and it seem to help . I have done that it does seem to help.I think the plug that is already on the container is kinda soft and maybe that is the issue .. I don’t know .. hopefully the turning of spout seems to help. The leak is my ONLY complaint ! *it come with 3 spouts .. 2 plastic and 1 metal.. it has extra of the plugs with each one … Today I did a taste test … I poured tap water in one cup and one with the recharge water .. I switched them about and had no idea which was what and it was no guess which was the Ph water . The tap water had a taste that was no doubt not the right one ! There may be more good things but these are the highlights . I am glad I purchased it Finally I sent a message to the company about the leaky spout they are sending me another one … not sure if I will need it or if it will really be any different but I will have another for back up! I hope the turning the spout has solved the debacle ! If you can get past the leak and are wanting to change your drinking water for the price this is for you ! UPDATE 8/7/2024 Severe problem with water leakage out of Spicket I have replacements hoping replacing will work .. this almost a year from purchase . I still love the product I just wish there was something that can be done with the drippy leaky water spicket! Just wanted to give an update! It drained completely over night and I am keeping the filter I water (actually) filtering weather into some containers for use during the day for drinking and etc. I still love it but I may have to purchase a new filter not sure if over night it dried out and not working 100% .. hoping my husband can replace it and maybe get it a better seal !

We bought this so that we aren't drinking all the bad things in the tap water and it's a good size for my husband and I, we fill it probably twice a week or less, it looks nice out on the counter & the water tastes great. I don't notice a different taste than our tap water, but we live in a state with really good water anyway. Easy to use and set up but make sure to follow the directions. It did leak at first, but ever since we made sure the nut was super tight, no leaks at all! I am happy to have not had to spend $400 on a Berkey which I guess isn't super great for you anyway. I say go for it!

The only thing I didn’t like about this product is that it occasionally leaks, and the water pools around the bottom of the tank, onto the top of the wooden stand. This is a bad design. It’s beautiful and looks nice but after using it a while, mildew starts to pool around at the top of the wood. I have to constantly clean the wood to keep it from mildewing. I can’t have mildew as I have hypersensitivities. I think the design would be better if there were an absorbent material instead of wood which of course, doesn’t absorb moisture. I also don’t really notice if the machine is leaking until I see mildew forming onto the wooden stand. I don’t mind cleaning the machine but it’s just a bit of a hassle as I have terrible allergies and sensitivities. Other than that, it’s a great product. I would also suggest that you all sell the stand separately as well. I don’t need a new machine, just another stand because this wooden one has to go! I’m in the market for a metal stand at this point. It’s not as pretty but it’ll work just fine for me.

I just received my water filtration today !!! And ~~~~ I love it ! The spout is metal which is so much better than plastic !!!! No LEAKS AT ALL !!!! Very impressed ! I followed the simple directions in the awesome little booklet that came with it !! Worked exactly as stated !!!! So on Day #1 I love it !!! I highly recommend it !!! The taste is really good ! The filtered water is crystal clear !!!! Very Very pleased !!

Unfortunately I didn’t get to use the system as much as I was looking forward to. I couldn’t get past a few things therefore I came to the final decision to return it completely. For 1… at the initial opening of everything & I quickly noticed the metal & bamboo part of the lid were detached when they were supposed to obviously be glued together (per picture). I wasn’t too upset & just thought my husband could re-glue it before finishing the installation. For 2: I followed through with the rest of the process while letting the filter soak & knowing I had read some reviews about some leaking issues, I attempted the spigot situation before completing the installation (to save my sanity). It came with 2 spigot options & I tried the left to right one first. I put the spigot in, filled the glass container above spigot & let it do its thing over our sink. The first issue was the lack of water pressure. The other was that it started to leak/drip. I then tried the other spigot & even though it didn’t leak, I still didn’t trust the lack of control in the handle of it. It would snap back kinda quick & hitting the glass kind of hard made me worried for any potential breakage in glass overtime. The whole mechanism just didn’t make me feel warm & fuzzy. So all of that said, I chose to take the filter out of water & put everything back together & sending it back. I took so much time deciding on which one I wanted to buy & have for longevity & I disregarded some of the issues mentioned from other buyers hoping I would be lucky. But I’ll wait until they go through more models & solidify a more functional & trustworthy product.
