  • Love this coop!
Size: 71.3"L x 26.1"W x 39.4"H Color: Chicken Coop-Grey
Update: Almost a year later and it made it through the snow and rain and very little water got inside the coop since I caulked it when I first got it. Put a small safe to the touch heater for chickens in there. All is well and happy with the purchase. First I just want to say that the customer service is excellent and they were very fast to respond when FedEx damaged my product and failed to deliver it, I contacted them for a refund and got it the next day but decided to try and purchase another one anyways. I was having trouble deciding whether or not to buy because some of the negative reviews. So I will hit on a couple of those for anyone looking to purchase. If you have any sort of mechanical experience or DIY or know how to use a drill and a hammer it is very easy even by yourself but would be done faster with two people. READ the instruction papers it has important information that addresses a lot of the issues. Common sense but its not so common anymore. Below I have listed the common complaints I saw while reading reviews vs my actual experience. 1) "The smell" FALSE, I experienced the smell too at first and immediately realized that people have obviously never been around fresh wood/paint/shingles because that's literally all it is that your smelling. It went away during the building process outside. It literally says on the paper to let it air out too. 2) "Instructions are difficult" FALSE, they definitely are about as easy as it gets, each board is stamped with a corresponding number or letter in the instructions, screw packages are labeled the same way, some of the screws in the picture are super imposed but they are in the general area of where to place it, again common sense. 3) "Its hard to put together" FALSE, the holes are pre-drilled and the very few that aren't are because they are in a location that would shift as it is all coming together, also leaving them loose and then tightening them once you have each section completed helps. It also says that in the instructions but again common sense. 4) "Its very cheaply made" FALSE, I think peoples expectations have become a little ridiculous over time. To build this same house it would cost me about $400-$450 after i purchased all the materials and screws. It is good quality in my opinion but I also did caulking around the entire roof because I didn't expect it to be waterproof it is very stable and well put together and the roof does a great job but wind can force water into cracks and crevices and you cant expect it to be built like a house for only $200. I will update in few months to let you know the progress but my experience so far has been nothing but great. So if you are like me and questioning whether or not to get it, I honestly don't think you will be disappointed. It was also packaged very securely and well padded so im not sure what FedEx was doing to cause it to get damaged the first time. ... show more

  • Don't install the ramp.
Size: 71.3"L x 26.1"W x 39.4"H Color: Chicken Coop-Grey
I've had the chicken coop since early Spring of 2024. The only issue I've had is the ramp tearing off. There's only one direction you can move it so if you put it up against a wall, tree, etc and have to back it up to move it, trust me, the ramp is going to rip off. The good news is the hens can get into the hen house without the ramp just fine. I saw raccoon tracks in the snow when I first got it and nothing has gotten to the hens to date. ... show more

  • Ok for inside a separate enclosure, for a few silkies or other small breeds
Update: Absolutely not predator proof. See pics. My medium size dog was able to destroy this within a few minutes so any predator could do the same. Only good for inside an enclosed and predator proof run. Also, the latches are not well made and the hardware cloth used is the thinnest I've seen. I had planned on putting this on the outside of their run but it clearly did not hold up the first day. Then when I moved it inside the run the ramp broke off as soon as I tried to move it, the wood is so so soft the screws don't hold. Original post written just after I assembled it: This was easy to assemble and looks really cute. It's definitely for smaller chickens, maybe silkies. I I'm currently keeping my two teenage chickens in it but it's not big enough without a run, even for the teens. I will keep it in the run for those who want to use it but I imagine they'll use the larger one more. Wood is fairly soft so I'm the areas that there weren't pre-drilled holes it was easy to drill thru with the screw without having to use a drill bit which was convenient while building it, but I'm hoping it holds up well. I'll update this if it doesn't. ... show more

  • Chickens rock!
Size: 71.3"L x 26.1"W x 39.4"H Color: Chicken Coop-Grey
I put the chicken coop together and under 45 minutes there were absolutely no problems directions were clear, The prefab was done excellent and all the hardware was intact in fact extra hardware was intact just in case, The one feature that I like is the handle in the front and the wheels in the back so I can pick it up and roll it to a new spot to ensure that the pets are in a clean area. Yes I would buy this product again. ... show more

  • Garbage
Size: Pet22 Color: Chicken Coop large-Red
This coop is absolute garbage. The lumber for it is of the cheapest quality, possible and breaks and fractures extremely easily. The size is okay, but it is in no way recommended for 3-6 chickens; I'd say this coop is designed for 2 at most. The quality control on this thing is also extremely poor; I had to improvise on building some of the panels, because the wiring and the holes for the wooden pegs, to bring the panels together were fabricated in reverse. All of this to say that it is incapable of keeping out predators; 3 of 4 of my chickens are now dead due to this inferior coop. Stay away from this product and buy a better quality one; it'll cost more money but you literally get what you pay for! ... show more

  • Nice, easy to assemble, well labeled
Size: 71.3"L x 26.1"W x 39.4"H Color: Chicken Coop-Grey
The media could not be loaded. I would def recommend this for ease of assembly and being well labeled. It took me, alone, 2 hours including opening, laying parts out and reading the instructions to get it put together. *note - my photos don’t show the two sections assembled yet because I am going to move it to the area I want, in two pieces, easier for me, then screw them together). Really they’re just illustrations though. It IS lightweight material I’d say may not weather well as far as longevity. Not particularly made sturdy - for any rough housing what so ever. Build it, leave it in place, maybe seal the wood with something non toxic, because the wood does not seem weatherproofed. The roofs of all areas is sturdy and has asphalt. Overall this is going to serve as an outdoor cat home and it is really ideal for that. We’ll see how it does in the Mojave desert. A drill, to expedite the screws is REALLY going to make things go faster. ... show more
