  • Excellent way to get rid of fleas and ticks on surfaces. Ants too. Nice scent, easy to use.
Style: Home and Carpet Spray Size: 16oz (Pack of 1)
We have a feral cat that lives on our front porch. He has an insulated box the sleep in in the winter and during good weather he loves to catch breezes on the wooden steps where he looks out over a lake. He has long fur and does his best to take care of it, but its trouble for him. He's been there two years but we have never been able to get close to him to put tick and flea medication on him and we life in an area just filled with ticks. I was cleaning out his "house one day last fall and patting around I felt what seemed like a bunch of big fat blueberries. I opened the top of the box and found they weren't blueberries - there were 8 big fat ticks, fully engorged under his warming cushion. What to do when you can't get close enough to the cat to apply medicine. I got this spray and sprayed his cushion and the steps where he likes to sleep. I left the cushion out to air for a bit - the scent is pleasant to humans - like a mild powdery floral, but I wasn't sure it was feral approved. I also wanted these things to dry well as you are not supposed to spray the animal itself, just the surroundings. In the course of spraying his environment, I came across 2 juvenile ticks. I usually use a pyrethrin based tick repellent on myself - and that is all it is. It repels ticks, but they keep on walking along - it doesn't kill them. In fact its hard to kill a juvenile tick by stepping on it even because it just flattens itself out for a moment, the keeps on walking. I sprayed the two juvenile ticks with THIS spray and OMG those ticks died INSTANTLY!!! It was very gratifying to see. As expected, the feral cat was suspicious of the smell of his bedding and steps, but got over it pretty quickly. I can't guarantee he is insect free, but I haven't found any more engorged ticks in his house. I also spray the food mat where I place his food dishes. He is a messy eater and ants usually run for his dropped food immediately and then invade his bowl. Not any more. I spray the mat then put his bowl on a papertowel. The ants won't go on the mat at all. Very pleased with this - better than I had hoped and will always keep some on hand from now on. ... show more

  • Household flea spray pet safe
Style: Home and Carpet Spray Size: 16oz (Pack of 1)
One of the few that doesn't smell like bug spray. After spraying my pets beds with other brands they will not sleep on them till laundered. This has a light cleaner smell. Seems to work okay.

  • How I Defeated the Fleas with Petarmor
Style: Home and Carpet Spray Size: 16oz (Pack of 1)
The good news: This stuff really works! For my full story of how I used it, read on. The caveat: You need to be prepared to put the work in. Fleas are resilient, and you can't just spray once and expect that they will disappear. You need to: 1. Bathe your animal if you have one, daily (at least at first) 2. Launder EVERYT HING in your home. 3. Identify where the fleas are coming from, and track their progress over time with candle traps 4. Apply poison liberally 5. REPEAT. Seriously, repeat. This stuff is no joke. The smell that everyone is raving about is to cover up the scent of the poison you're applying. Look up the active ingredients -- they can cause serious health effects, so don't breathe this stuff in. I experienced burning in my lungs the first day I applied it, then learned to cover my mouth with a towel, and vacate the space until it was dry. I may have gone a bit overboard with applying... but I had a Serious Infestation. I have no regrets. How I got rid of fleas: I discovered fleas on my dog on Wednesday night. I immediately gave him a bath and vacuumed everything. This was my first time with fleas, and if it's yours, these should Always be your first two steps. Then, I looked online for reviews, and ended up buying this product, along with the Home Household Spray, and the Carpet Powder from the same company. It said it would take two days to arrive, so in the meantime, I went and bought another product locally for outside. The next morning I vacuumed again, sprayed outside, and laundered every piece of laundry, textile and fabric in my home. A friend told me to put down shallow dishes full of soap water, with candles in the middle, all over the floor. The fleas are attracted to the heat and light, and will drown in the shallow water. She said to put them everywhere, as many empty dishes as I had. This was the KEY to tracking where the fleas were coming from. I put them near areas where my dog spent time, but was surprised to find out that those areas did not have many fleas. Instead, there were more fleas near a utility closet in my kitchen. As I continued to move the dishes closer to that closet (every few hours), I found more and more fleas in that particular area. Eventually, I moved the dishes into the closet, and that's when I found hundreds, if not thousands of fleas. I rent, and the closet was previously infested with rats (I know, I'm disgusted too). A friend who is a Entomologist told me that flea eggs could have gotten in from the rats, then lay dormant for months. Now it was warm out again, and they were hatching. I immediately deep cleaned the closet as thousands of fleas attacked me (pro tip: wear long pants, sleeves, gloves, a hair covering, a face covering, anything to protect yourself), removed the old carpet inside, and vacuumed every crevice. Once I had done that, I sprayed it with the Home and Carpet Spray on every surface (spray underneath, on top, in the corners, etc), then once that dried, I used the Carpet Powder on the floor, so I could see where the fleas were and, the next time I vacuumed, I could see any areas I missed. Now, every morning, I wake up, vacuum my entire apartment, vacuum the closet, and reapply the poison. Then I leave dishes with candles in the closet all day and all night (I use tall church candles that have less of a risk of catching fire to anything, and the closet is empty), to track how many fleas there are. There has been a significant improvement after 3 days. However, I'm going to keep doing this process for at least two weeks. Read up about breaking the life cycle of fleas -- they can come back if you let down your guard. I will be ready. ... show more

  • Hard to Use, Runs Out Quickly
Style: Home and Carpet Spray Size: 16oz (Pack of 1)
I have several gripes about this product. Firstly, it has critical safety and usage instructions that are crammed on the back of the can, that even with 20/20 vision can often be a challenge to read. Secondly this can was clearly old, it must have sat on the self a very long time, this was notable in the "fade" on some of the letters on the back of the can and the general texture of the product inside it. Thirdly, because the product in it was old (or stale) no matter how much I shook and shook the can, the product would come out in clumps. Ideally it was supposed to be an aerosol spray, that coats the area you need the fleas killed in. It would sometimes produce exactly that, but then suddenly "clump up" and spew what mostly resembled foam. These "clumps" led to the product running out on me much, much faster than advertised. I tried to spray box spring and mattress (both sides for for both) and barely had enough to complete the task. So I now I need a whole other can for my couch cushions! And yes, let me repeat, I vigorously shook the can before using it and several times between each application. Lastly, the nozzle on this can, so weird. It has a "side" button you push and you have to hold the can upside down to apply. It also comes out in a very weird angle, so it's easy to spray your shoes. Wear gloves and a mask when using this stuff, it's highly toxic! So an unreliable, weird nozzle, distributing clumps and aerosol that's highly toxic, makes the experience of using this product unnecessarily cumbersome and even dangerous, getting this stuff on your skin is not a happy experience. There has to be better product than this honestly, it definitely kills the fleas and the eggs, this is already evident, so it does work, but there's no real convenience to this product and it's delivery system is inconsistent and cumbersome to use. Lastly, the weird nozzle o ... show more

  • Great, clean, light scent!
Style: Home and Carpet Spray Size: 16oz (Pack of 1)
UPDATED, 01/17/23-Okay, so I've used the can up, ordering more. This has a very light, clean scent. I've been using it twice weekly, bc the general knowledge is that it can take 30-45 days to overcome the flea life cycle. I vacuum, spray under beds, on bedding, furniture(it did NOTHING to our leather couch, wish I could say that about five cats!), underneath sofa, chairs, along baseboards, every room, closet, window sills, etc. My cats are inside and go everywhere. Then, after an hour, vauumed everywhere again. Then wait a few days, do this process again. Only finding a few tiny fleas now, YAY!!! Will make this a weekl routine for NO fleas, a clean house and calm pets!!! Love the light, pleasant smell, cats- not so much, lol! Dogs tried to move out, lol. Meanwhile, I used this around baseboards, doors, bathrooms(where litter boxes are), under sofa, beds, bookcases, closets, all other furniture. Vacuumed about a half hour later, everywhere. Tomorrow, will open windows and air out, spray again, vacuum again. I made a stupid mistake last month walking the dogs in our rural area without ANY flea deterents on them. Now we have all these teensy UNinvited friends, and worse than that, the dogs are under control, but our five inside-only kitties are going nuts!!! I found a topspot application that seems to be working, except on my white cat, must be a racist medicine, lol. Anyway, joking aside, I used two doses of top application on him bc he is big and fat anyway, 22 lbs. But this spray is easy to use, just remember to work a routine to spray, wait an hour, then vacuum. Mostly, I bought this to get the flea eggs, man, they are everywhere! And if you don't treat the eggs and get them up, they hatch faster than you can blink an eye! Scary! So be active AND proactive. I already see fleas dying, so the eggs will follow. I hope. Will post a followup in a couple of weeks! DON'T SPRAY TOO CLOSE OR YOU FOAM-COAT EVERYTHING!!! USE A SWEEPING, MISTING MOTION, MAYBE 10-14 INCHES ABOVE AREA! ... show more

  • Works really good!
Style: Home and Carpet Spray Size: 16oz (Pack of 1)
This is the second time I ordered this spray for a continuation of the same issue. Not only do I spray it on rugs, I’ve used it in the living room and bedding as a precaution in between washes. I feel like it works. There’s a noticeable difference with a before and after treatment. Depending on your usage, I would say there about two full treatments within the bottle. You may need a second for a full treatment ... show more
