Description

Give your dog long-lasting protection against fleas and ticks with a Seresto Large Dog flea and tick collar. Unlike other flea and tick protection, Seresto Large Dog flea and tick collars kill and repel fleas and ticks for eight continuous months. Seresto Large Dog flea and tick collars are recommended by veterinarians, stocked by 8,000 vet clinics and have been trusted by pet owners for nearly a decade. Seresto Large Dog collars make your dog’s comfort a priority by killing fleas and ticks on contact, so pests don’t have to bite your dog to die. Existing fleas die within 24 hours after initial application of the collar. The prevention of infestations with new ticks starts at 48 hours after application of the collar. 48 hours after application, any new ticks are repelled and/or killed in as quickly as 6 hours. Seresto Large Dog collars protect against common pests like deer ticks, American dog ticks, brown dog ticks, and Lone Star ticks; they’re also effective against chewing lice. Unroll the collar and remove the small plastic connectors from inside the collar, ensuring that no remnants remain. 3. Insert the end of the collar through the buckle and loops. 4. Adjust the collar around your dog's neck until it fits comfortably on them. 5. Two fingers should fit beneath the collar and neck to ensure it's not too tight. • My honest thoughts, great purchase
f you’re tired of remembering monthly flea treatments or dealing with messy spot-ons, the Seresto flea collar might be your new best friend (besides your actual pet, of course). I!ve used them for my dogs (30lb, 50lb, & 160 lb) and here’s the deal: it actually works. It claims to protect against fleas and ticks for up to 8 months, and surprisingly, it kind of delivers. Within a couple days, I noticed way fewer fleas, and ticks? Haven’t seen one since. What I like: • Super low-maintenance – You put it on and forget about it (well, mostly). • No gross smell or sticky stuff – It’s not greasy, and you won’t smell chemicals every time your pet walks by. • Water-resistant – Bath time or a quick swim doesn’t kill the magic (though too many baths might shorten its life a bit). • Long-term win – It’s a bit pricey upfront, but if you break it down over 8 months, it’s cheaper than monthly treatments. A few things to watch out for: • Skin sensitivity – Some pets might react to it. Mine have been completely fine. • Not a bug shield – It doesn’t repel fleas and ticks, it just kills them once they make contact. • Fake products online – Definitely buy from a trusted store or your vet. There are some sketchy knockoffs floating around that don’t work (or worse). Bottom line: If your pet tolerates wearing it, the Seresto collar is a total game-changer. It saves you time, mess, and gives your pet long-lasting protection. Just keep an eye on them for the first couple days after putting it on, and you’re good to go. ... show more

  • It does actually work!
This is honestly the only product that works for us anymore. We have a white German shepherd mix and moved into a wooded area that was completely infested. We found flea comes in the bathroom closet. That should've been the first sign. Our poor dog has been covered and we have tried so many different treatments. We used Frontline for many years on all of our pets. It worked really well up until about five years ago, we noticed it stopped being effective. Apparently the fleas have grown immune to the active ingredient. I never tried any flea collars, so imagine my surprise when we bought our first Seresto and the fleas disappeared!! It's also worth saying that your environment needs to be treated as well or your pets will constantly be reinfected by those little jumping knuckleheads. We did notice around month 6, they started returning. But even without a full eight months, it's still absolutely worth it!! We have a new kitten who also needs one. I'm really hoping it will hold up as well as it does on our doggo. He never had any reactions, either. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Great flea and tick protection for large dogs and probably others too
At first I was worried about if I could get a legitimate one or not from Amazon; but they came in sealed containers and they work well. The only issue I noted was lack of appetite at first. That evened itself out. So far we are almost at the end of May 2025 (EDIT- Now Mid-June and STILL GOOD!) and both of my (very large!) dogs have zero fleas or ticks. I live in an area that has a lot of ticks that carry Lyme. For that specific reason, this is absolutley a great option, and the cost is worth what it does. I haven't noticed any scratching or anything like that, it fits well and has extra loops to secure it. Pro tip from me, tuck it under their collar to keep the rain from getting to it, and keeping it up against the skin. But make sure to check if this works, because in my situation my dogs have very thick hair (great pyrenees), so your mileage may vary with the above suggestion. Recommended! ... show more

  • Quality
RECOMMEND RECOMMEND. I use tic and flea pills. Got the collar for a second layer you could say. Always thought she got muddy to mess with me. But we went to the lake today feels like 79 degrees. SUN IS OUT. Always bring drinking water for her poured some on her today cause she didn’t get in the lake herself. SHOCKING. One blood sucker got on her nose with in that hour. Smacked it off and sucker kicked it in the dirt! Thank you will purchase from now on. First review ever left. I love my milk chicken. ... show more

  • Vet warned of dog seizures from Seresto; but it's working for us-Impt: remove before a bath!
Our vet warned us that many dogs have had seizures from Seresto collars, some of them fatal. I was worried when I googled this issue. But this collar has worked great for our 65 lb. pit bull. No health problems or concerns at all. And best of all, no ticks - and we live at the edge of some woods. And it's super easy. I put the collar on in March and it's effective until November. Just one caution: TAKE IT OFF BEFORE YOU BATHE YOUR DOG. We forgot to take the Seresto collar off before a bath and our dog was sick for three days. I guess the soap and water released too much toxin from the collar all at once. We kept dousing our dog's body with lots of cool, clear water and he finally recovered. But that was scary. ... show more

  • No more fleas!
I was nervous to buy this bc all the reviews & it’s the most expensive but I was desperate! I can only speak to fleas (not ticks) but this worked for me!! I previously tried many other things & still found fleas on my dog & in my bed! I put this collar on & they were gone. I still comb him every time he comes inside & wash bedding more frequently so that may also help but I’m so thankful they’re gone! ... show more

  • Great tick prevention!
I swear by Seresto flea and tick collars! These are the only ones I will buy. They work excellent for my Australian Shepherd and my AussieDoodle. They do not irritate their skin and they keep a majority of fleas and ticks off of them. We live in a field in the middle of the woods so ticks are abundant and they have very minimal issues when using the Seresto collars. Definitely my go to for tick prevention. ... show more
