I just recently brought some more because last time it smells amazing and it get the job done. I sprinkle it on the carpet let it sit for a week for the best results than I vacuum. Gave my dogs a bath with dawn dish soap I massage it in their coats kept wet and soap for 30 min. We took turns massaging it and letting it sit because it kills fleas and eggs. Everyday I spray some vinegar and rosemary after every walk. We sent PetArmor Carpet Powder to a dear woman who does TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release/Return) in Orlando, FL. She is shelling out thousands of dollars a month of her own money to feed, treat, and sterilize hundreds of cats and one aged, ill dog. Over the past 20 years, she has done TNR on around 7,000 cats. She has seen everything, but the fleas this year are the worst. They are TINY, numerous, and resistant to all but the most potent and expensive flea treatments (Bravecto and Activyl -- Prescription only ($$$$) and Activyl is currently SOLD OUT everywhere, to boot). To flea treat all the cats within her care, she would have to shell out about $1,500 at a discount, and then do it again in 2-3 months. She has a house she uses to care for cats which are too infirm to be released or adopted (she has helped place thousands of cats and kittens into forever homes, as well). She called us last night to tell us that she had applied the PetArmor Carpet Powder to one room with disabled cats. The cats had huddled in the closet and had climbed as high as they could to get away from the flea-infested floors. One cat slept in a large food bowl trying to use it as a defense. She cleaned the room ahead of time. After she applied the powder (please be sure to READ the instructions) and had to open the windows to let some fresh air into the room (the scent is strong), she swept the powder in thoroughly and waited for the dust to settle before closing the windows again. She did go a little overboard on the application (INSTRUCTIONS!). We told her to vacuum lightly when she returned the next morning. She called us this morning to tell us what had happened. First, all the cats were out of the closet and clearly more relaxed. She checked a cat with white fur and saw the fleas on his coat. She said she could pick them off of him easily. When fleas are sick, they have no typical abilities. They will stagger and linger. That's what these were doing. We told her to do a video and we will try to post that, if possible. These results are the best possible outcome! This means she can treat large areas and help the cats which are too wild to treat with topicals or won't eat the flea-prevention medicines. She also won't have to worry about the fleas attacking her or accidentally tracking hitchhiker fleas from location to location. We used to use a carpet flea powder from a company which is no longer in business and had amazing results. We didn't have to worry about fleas for a whole year. We have no doubt that this will be just as effective for that long. The only reason that the powders went out of favor was because the topicals came on the market. This won't lose its efficacy like they do because its a biological treatment. The fleas can't build up a defense against it. We hope this review helps. Considering that a canister of PetArmor Carpet Powder is less than $8.00 as of the date of this review, and one topical can be more than twice that, this is clearly the winner! ... show more

I bought this to treat fleas and prevent a full on infestation. I think it works but I don't have anything to compare it to. I haven't seen live fleas. I wish I would have read directions better about how toxic it is to pets and the precautions needed. When sprinkling, it it puffs a bit of dust so I had to limit where I could actually use it and that I didn't track it to where my cat was. I had to treat one area of my home at a time so I could keep my cat out of the treatment area while it sat undisturbed for a day or so. Then I worried if she walked over a treated area that maybe still had some powder I missed. It was tricky treating her cat tree. I'm not sure if the spray would have been better but I suspect a similar situation. Be mindful. One thing I discovered, it smells really good.....like some hotel rooms I've stayed in sometimes. šŸ˜³šŸ˜Œ So it's good to know this is trusted by some hotels. I am not sure if that will give me (more of) the ick if smelling that in the future. But I'd rather that than the crawlers I suppose. ... show more

OK, this stuff is good. I have pet beds and cat trees. I just dust a little bit on the bed and brush it in. You have to do it lightly so you donā€™t put globs of it in one area and nothing in the other because it sticks. It doesnā€™t have a very bad smell at all. I use it in the house without a problem. I put it on the carpets and vacuum it up. I donā€™t use a lot on the beds just enough to give it a slight dusty service and itā€™s important that you brush it in evenly into the fabric so that itā€™s white color is dissipated. ... show more

This PETARMOR carpet powder for fleas makes the fleas more manageable in certain areas. I was able to sprinkle it on affected areas (areas where my dogs like to lay down). I let it stay on the area for the recommended amount of time. However, this is where you lost stars with me. It did not kill the fleas in that area. Iā€™m not sure about the eggs but I know there certainly were fleas. Then I said, ā€œwell maybe these are new fleas.ā€ We did the entire bedroom with 1 1/2 containers of the powder, brushed it in so the powder could get all the way in the fibers and let it sit OVERNIGHT. After 24 hour time period, the fleas were a little more manageable but not dead. And some didnā€™t even appear sickā€¦ like they were SUPER-fleas or something. The powder concept is great but not as effective as the spray. I recommend this for pet beds as you could make a more concentrated solution on a smaller area. ... show more

Really works. I had a renter in one of my units, and the left and did not inform me that there was a flee problem. No wonder he did not want to do a walk through. Well when I went to inspect my unit, started at the Master bedroom and I had notice these small pepper like spots on my white shoes and then there were hundreds of them. I took of running out of the house. stripped every piece of clothing off outside I had on, let them on the ground and took off running to the shower in on of my other units. Needless to say I bought 8 of these and treated every room according to the directions left the unit vacant for 4 months, came back and no more fleas. ... show more
