It takes 15-30 GRAMS of garlic *per kilogram* of body weight to affect a dog’s blood, and this product only contains 250 MILLIGRAMS per chew. For my 13 pound dog, it would take 90-180 GRAMS to hurt him, and yet he is only getting 250 milligrams a day. 90 grams is equivalent to 90,000 milligrams!! People shouldn’t be freaking out about the garlic in this product. In my experience, I have ordered this 11 times, and it works great for my 13 year old full-of-hair-poodle. No adverse effects. I have been too nervous to use it on my 50 pound dog because if she got fleas, it would be disastrous (she has really curly and black hair, so the fleas would really go unnoticed), but it works great for my little dog and I love not having to pump him full of cancer-causing,TOXIC pesticides-which are way worse that the (TINY) amount of garlic in this product. ... show more

    • Does not eliminate fleas, but does provide relief as good as anything I have tried.
The dogs love these, but they do not eliminate fleas for outdoor dogs. I have doubled the dosage and the fleas have mostly declined and no tics at all. This is the best product for flea control I have been able to find, I don't think any flea treatment is 100% effective.

    • I can't vouch for the flavour but my dogs have no issue with them.
So far so good. The tablets are one day for 90 days so I've had to restock. They seem to be working as my boys are tick-free. Be sure to read the label so that you administer the right dosage depending on the weight of your dog.

    • Did formula change?
I used this last year on my 3 beagles, and it worked well. I did stop when it got really cold, but now it's warmer and using it again, and it doesn't seem to be working as well. So IDK if I should've never stopped, or it's not strong enough. I hate using chemicals on my babies, so it works if you are trying to use the more natural products. They still scratch and we've found a couple of ticks, so I may have to double the chews. They seem to like the taste. ... show more

    • At Least It Works!
I have four dogs on a farm, so keeping fleas away can be a nightmare. I've used garlic and brewers yeast supplements before, but when my favorite brand disappeared I had to find something new. I admit it took a good month of daily use before this product seemed to start working, but once it did, I was thrilled. The price seems a bit outrageous. But in the winter months we've been able to give it only twice a week, instead of daily, which makes it last longer. I have at least one dog who's prone to yeast infections, and she doesn't do as well with this. This is not actually a problem with the product... it just contains yeast. So if your dog has a yeast infection, watch to make sure the supplement doesn't worsen their condition. All but one of my dogs likes the flavor of these. They smell like fake bacon treats, so I assume they taste similar, but my King just hates it. Unfortunately the smell is too strong to hide it in his food, so we have to get inventive. Overall I really do like this product. It does what it claims to do, and is made out of decent ingredients. It's expensive, some dogs have issues with yeast, and some hate the taste... but at least the fleas are gone!! ... show more
